Please pray for Kelsey and her family today. They are headed to MD Anderson in hopes of anything that can help her continue this fight.

Because of the love and generosity of so many, these girls were able to bless Kelsey with a little over $3,000 toward her battle. What an absolute gift β€” but more than anything, she needs prayer warriors standing in the gap for her.

πŸŽ€ OCTOBER IS BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH πŸŽ€

This month, we honor the fighters, remember those we’ve lost, celebrate the survivors, and stand beside every family facing a life-threatening illness.

But awareness is only the beginning.

Uplift for Life is genuinely committed to fighting cancer and life-threatening illnesses right here in our community. ❀️

What makes our organization different is simple:

The money raised through Uplift for Life goes directly back into our community to help people who are facing life-threatening illnesses.

We have had multiple recipients right here in our community whose burdens have been lifted because of the generosity of those who support Uplift for Life. Sometimes that help means a bill that can finally be paid. Sometimes it means groceries, transportation, household expenses, or simply taking one more worry off the shoulders of someone who is already carrying far too much.

This is what fighting looks like.
Not just wearing pink.
Not just talking about cancer.
But standing beside people when they need us most. 🩷

If you or someone you know is facing a life-threatening illness and could use assistance, please reach out to Amanda Willows with Lamar County Adopt A Cop. Our goal is to make sure no one in our community has to carry the burden alone.

πŸŽ€ Uplift for Life
Lifting burdens. Giving hope. Changing lives in our community.

Prayers for this first responder and their loved ones!!! May you have a very quick recovery β€οΈβ€πŸ©Ή!!!

Thanks to funds raised for Lamar County Adopt-A-Cop through Uplift For Life, we were able to help a local first responder today who is battling a very serious illness.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who supports our mission. Because of you, when one of our first responders is going through a difficult time, we are able to step up and help take care of one of our own.

Please keep this first responder and his family in your prayers as he continues this fight.

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ REMEMBERING SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Today, Golden Care Home Health & Silver Crest Hospice pause to remember the lives forever changed on September 11, 2001.

We remember the 2,977 innocent lives lost, the families who continue to carry their loved ones in their hearts, and the brave first responders who ran toward danger while others were running away.

We honor the firefighters, police officers, paramedics, military members, healthcare workers, and countless everyday Americans who showed extraordinary courage, compassion, and selflessness.

We Remember. We Honor. We Will Never Forget.

May we continue to carry forward the spirit of unity, kindness, and service that emerged from the darkness.

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ God Bless those we lost. God Bless those who served. God Bless America. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

❀️‍πŸ”₯ DID YOU KNOW? ❀️‍πŸ”₯

There’s another beautiful part of the Uplift for Life mission that we want our community to know about…

Through our partnership with Lamar County Adopt-A-Cop, 20% of the funds raised through Uplift for Life are set aside in the spirit of a Hearts & Helmets program β€” helping first responders and their families who are facing life-threatening illnesses or extraordinary medical circumstances. πŸš’β€οΈβ€πŸ©Ή

So, what is Hearts & Helmets?

The idea behind Hearts & Helmets is simple: when a first responder is suddenly the one who needs help, their community rallies around them.

Firefighters, police officers, EMTs and other first responders spend their lives answering the call for others. A Hearts & Helmets effort helps provide a way for the community to give back when these heroes or their families are facing a serious health crisis or other life-changing circumstance.

It can help provide financial support, encouragement and a reminder that they are not standing alone during one of the most difficult seasons of their lives. ❀️

And that fits perfectly with the heart of Uplift for Life β€” Light & Hope in Our Community.

πŸ‘¨β€πŸš’πŸ‘©β€πŸš’ Our first responders are there for us when we need them most. Now, together, we can be there for them, too.

20% of Uplift for Life funds.
One community.
A whole lot of heart. ❀️

Because no one fights alone.

Please be in prayer for and lift up Kelsey Evans, her kids, and their entire family.

Copy/paste:

The latest update to my cancer life because it's been a while and sometimes things are hard to find words for..

The first chemo I was started on when the cancer spread to my bones wasn't working, the tumors continues to grow with some new spots on my lungs still too tiny for a clinical trial. So let's try a different chemo.

The new chemo I've had two times and it's actually not too bad. It doesn't really make me sick, and actually my hair has started to grow back on it. 🀞🏼 it starts to work.

Yesterday I had some new pain that was sharp and when it hurt, it HURT. I finally couldn't take it anymore and went to the ER. One of the tumors on my spine has caused a fracture.

Bone Cancer and a Broke Back.

I have a pink back brace arriving to my home to wear and I'll meet with the radiologist Monday to start radiation to my T8 vertebrae where the fracture is. Radiation can help to shrink that tumor so no more fractures occur and maybe the fracture can heal once the tumor shrinks 🀞🏼

IN OTHER NEWS-

I am still FULLY capable of walking, talking, and working. I am still able to take care of myself, and my children and our wild animals. I only have to be careful of the way that I turn my body at times.

The hardest part of this cancer journey is when people try to make me feel incapable of doing things. I ain't bedridden yet and I don't plan to ever be. I am way to stubborn for cancer and a broke back to knock me down.
