Jr. Miss Gwen and Queen Taylor have taken a commendable step towards spreading kindness by filling blessing boxes with essential items like warm hats, gloves, fuzzy socks, toiletries, and children's books, which are located near Evermore Academy, LOT 50, the police station, and the Church across from Edgar Cemetery.

You both are exemplary models of thoughtfulness and selflessness. I eagerly anticipate seeing your future accomplishments and am confident that you will drive positive change in the world.

Yesterday Jr. Miss Honeybee Festival Queen Gwen and Little Miss Edgar County enjoyed handing out candy to all the kids that attended Scare on the Square in downtown Paris!! We missed our Miss Girls but they missed out for very good reasons Edgar County Fair Queen Chloe finishing up a thesis at college and Honeybee Festival Queen Taylor competing with the Beacon Brigade at U of I! But all in all fun day had by everyone and I am truly greatful to have these great girls in my life!!

Saturday September 27, 2025

Such a busy day on Saturday again! We started off with the Shawna Morrison Memorial run ran by The Rec! It was an early morning, but totally worth it biggest turnout so far! Even the Little Miss Honeybee Festival Queen joined us as well as Miss Edgar County Chloe Martin! Thank you, Erin Hutchinson for inviting us. We had so much fun.  After the run, we enjoyed more pancakes, cause why not.

We also ventured to the car show and the Queen‘s got a handout a special trophy called the Queen‘s pick! They rode in the parade and had so much fun seeing everyone who makes time to come out and support the Honeybee Festival! The girls also got to go to a foam party on the Square sponsored by Gophers Pools!

We ran into Taylor‘s little sister McKinley along with the 2024 Jr. Miss, Lauren Bowers! Gwen stopped by your favorite coffee shop Stagecoach Coffee, whom also was her sponsor for the pageant. We also saw familiar faces lined up with us in the parade, our honeybee festival attendants!

Friday 26, 2025 RECAP

Queen Taylor and Jr. Miss Gwen had a full day of events on Friday! They enjoyed activities with the kids from district 4, and district 95 on the Square! The kids did a craft, rode the Mower Carts with FFA, and enjoy the bounce houses! They also enjoyed good food from multiple vendors, did a little shopping, and also enjoyed the evening entertainment at Prospect amphitheater! We also saw Bella Sunkel the 2024 Honeybee Festival Queen set up as a vendor selling her fire starters!
