Today, when families all across the nation gather together in thanks, hundreds of thousands of LEOS will be celebrating in their drivers seat. They will be hastily eating their meals in between calls and maybe even sneaking in a video chat with their families.

I’d be lying if I said that this doesn’t leave me with a bit of sadness, but it also gives me pride and a sense of gratitude. We miss our Officers but they’re doing something so incredible for our community, that it makes it all worth it.

To all of the First Responders, Military Personnel, Corrections Officers, Dispatchers, Doctors and Nurses working this Thanksgiving, thank you. And to all of your loved ones, I see you and appreciate your sacrifice. You are all in my prayers tonight and always.

Thank you to all those who’ve served… past, present and future

Thank you to all those who’ve served… past, present and future

100 years ago, the World War I Unknown Soldier was buried at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery. A grand military procession transported him from the U.S. Capitol to ANC’s Memorial Amphitheater. There, he was honored with a state funeral before being buried in the Tomb. As the casket descended into the crypt, Army bugler Sgt. Frank Witchey sounded Taps, and the Unknown was honored with a 21-gun salute. Learn more about Witchey in our new blog post at https://arlingtoncemetery.mil/Blog/Post/11518/Frank-Witchey-The-Maestro-of-the-Trumpet

Today, on Veterans Day, we commemorate the centennial of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and honor all veterans past and present. We thank all who serve our great nation, those known and “Known but to God.” Due to COVID-19 protocols, all and National Veterans Day Observance events will be live streamed for the public.

Sending prayers and so much love!!

Broken. That’s what I feel right now. I am broken for the US Military Personnel that have lost their lives or been wounded trying to fix what our government absolutely destroyed. I am broken for their families. I am broken for the innocent people trying to escape with their lives. It breaks me even more to think that their are people in our country who think that any of this is okay. I am so deeply saddened by these senseless losses that I can’t seem to find words to express myself. All I can say is that I will never forget the brave men and women who have paid the ultimate price for our country. My prayers are with their families.

This is great! Keep up the good work Sgt. Giusto
