Fireworks 🇺🇸 A Proud Tradition

Setting off fireworks to celebrate Independence Day dates all the way back to 1777, just a year after the Declaration of Independence was signed.
The booming lights in the sky were meant to reflect the joy, pride, and freedom of a new nation.

But while the tradition continues, safety is still key—whether you’re watching the show or lighting sparklers at home. Keep a safe distance, follow all local laws, and remember: the best view is a safe one.

Get ready to celebrate the Paramus Independence Day Parade on July 4th at 9:00 AM!

Here’s how to make the most of it:
💧 Bring water and stay hydrated
🍿 Pack snacks for you (and the littles)
🎉 Festive attire, red-white-and-blue streamers & noisemakers encouraged!
🐶 Dogs are welcome but must be leashed at all times
🎶 Small children? Prepare them for loud music and marching bands

To keep the event safe and fun for everyone, please review the following:

🚫 No alcohol or controlled substances
🐾 No pets (ADA service animals only)
🚁 No drones, sparklers, or personal fireworks
🚫 No outside vendors unless pre-approved by the committee

Violating these rules may result in removal from the event and possible prosecution.

💺 DO bring lawn chairs, coolers with non-alcoholic drinks, and snacks for the kids!
🧸 Small games like bubbles, hula hoops, and soft balls are welcome.

And lastly—let’s leave the local politics/ campaigning at home and enjoy the holiday together. 🇺🇸❤️

The Paramus 4th of July Committee is still accepting applications for volunteer entertainment at this year’s celebration at the Cliff Gennarelli Sports Complex. Whether you sing, dance, play, or perform—we want to see what you’ve got!

🔥 This is your chance to perform for our amazing community before the big fireworks show.

📅 Deadline to apply: June 13 — only one week left!
