It is a strong local group backed by an active district organization of clubs throughout Arkansas. More importantly, our club is a part of Rotary International which is a world wide organization making a positive impact around the world. Rotary has been, and continues to be, instrumental in the world wide effort to eradicate polio and very involved in the health and nutrition conditions of childre

n all over the world. Since 1985 Rotary has immunized over 2.5 billion children against Polio. Locally, our club is very active in trying to make our community a better place in which to live and work. Literacy has been a main focus over the past few years and will continue to be for the next twelve months. Our Rotarians have distributed a new dictionary to every third grade student in Greene County during the fall of the year for the past several years. We also hand out a thesaurus to each fifth grade student in Greene County during the spring months and will strive to maintain that annual event as well. Our projects and donations primarily are directed to the youth of Greene County.
