We'll just go ahead and say, as weather for volunteer weeks go, Fairgrounds Road Church of Christ drew a hot one this week. But they cleverly started their work days in the wee hours before the heat could catch up with them. No, the attached photo is not the heat finally gaining on them. They're posed in front of a big brush pile - kind of a culmination of some of their projects. We'll go over a lot of them next week, but this group tackled so many projects this week. They head home tomorrow morning, so we want to take a moment to thank them for their hard work and offer our prayers for a safe trip back to Jefferson City. Thank you all and we'll see you next time!

Children's Homes, Inc. (CHI) is proud to share our new video highlighting our foster care program, which is located in Searcy, Ark. When we shot the video, Arkansas had nearly 4,000 children needing foster care placement. Things have gotten better in recent months and now we are below the 3,500 mark. But, there is still a lot of work to done. The need for more Christian foster homes is still great across our state right now. A child is waiting for your family's "Yes!"

In celebration of Mother’s Day, Bailey delivered gifts to our housemoms, while Chelsea and Chasitey delivered gifts to our foster moms. We are incredibly thankful for both groups and all they do to love and support children each day. We hope they all have a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend!
