If you’re considering being a Master Gardener, here’s some info on that process!

UofA provides a fully online, self-paced course that begins October 6th. That means you can complete it from the comfort of your home, on your own time!

The price of the Online Course and its materials provided ($125) will be partially covered by us, because we want to make it as accessible as possible for you!

It sure was hot but we had a wonderful visit to Mr. Wilkins place this morning. Thank you so much for allowing this visit. Then we ended with a stop at the Cafinated Cow in Rector. Yummy 😋

🌿 Master Gardener Saturday Outing! 🌿

We’re planning a short trip this Saturday, August 15, to visit the Wilkens home place in Cardwell, Missouri. And while we’re there, we’ll make a stop at a nearby excellent ice cream shop! 🍦

This should be a fun, relaxed outing of about 2–3 hours. We’ll probably leave around 10:00 a.m. from a designated meeting location.

Last week, there was a work day called at The Linwood Cemetery Wildflower Garden. Thank you Pauletta, Dave, Linda and Richard. They managed to clean out all the w**d and grass ….. 10 bags full. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 good job!

Our YTG and 4-H Cooking Club meeting went great! ⏲️🍴

The kids harvested some veggies from the garden to use in the Jambalaya they cooked.

Kristie taught the kids about the two varieties of watermelon and how they look different. They harvested okra and purple hull peas, trimmed dill, learned about high tunnels, and more! Then, everyone went inside and cooked their own jambalaya 😋

Teaching the youth is something the Master Gardeners are passionate about. We love to show future generations how they can make their own food from the ground to the table 💚
