St. Bernards Healthcare is hosting Safe Sitter classes at the Paragould Community Center designed to help students become confident, capable, and safe babysitters.

Participants will learn important skills including:
• Babysitting basics
• Safety and emergency response
• First aid tips
• Child care essentials
• How to handle real-life situations while caring for children

Summer camp season is here in Paragould! ☀️🎨🎭🏕️

Looking for fun, creative, and engaging activities for kids this summer? Check out some of the great camps and programs happening around the community:

🎨 Jerri Ann's Painting and Crafts, LLC
Every Tuesday afternoon at 1PM from June 9–July 21, kids ages 5 and up can enjoy a new paint project each week. Classes are $20 and offer a fun way to get creative this summer.

🏕️ Crowley’s Ridge Youth Camp at The Ridge Retreat & Adventure Center
Registration is open for summer camp sessions throughout June & July including:
• Day Camp (ages 5–8)
• Camp Discovery (ages 8–9 & 10–12)
• Camp Adventure (ages 9–16)
• Teen Week (ages 13–18)

🎭 Act II Performing Arts
Children’s Theatre Camp “Peter Pan” gives campers ages 6–16 the opportunity to learn about costume work, scene engagement, scene work, auditions, and the casting process. Camp fee is $50 per camper.

From painting and performing arts to outdoor adventure, there are so many ways for kids to learn, explore, and make memories this summer in Paragould.

A couple months ago, community leaders gathered to celebrate a major investment in the future of Paragould with the ribbon cutting of the new Public Works facility. ✂️🏗️

The upgraded facility includes expanded office space, a dedicated training area, covered bays for sanitation vehicles, and a fully equipped maintenance shop. All designed to improve efficiency and better serve the community.

The project represents the continued growth and progress happening throughout Paragould and supports the hardworking crews who help keep our city running smoothly every day.

The library is so much more than just books. 📚✨

A visit to the library in Paragould opens the door to movies, music, learning, and community connections for all ages. Browse DVDs featuring newer movies, television series, and classic favorites. Check out music CDs from every genre, audiobooks for listening on the go, magazines, newspapers, and enjoy free high-speed internet access. Need help with a resume or job search? The library offers that too.

There is even a Seed Library for gardening enthusiasts, a Historical Room for local research and genealogy, and events happening year-round for children, teens, and adults.
And with the Kids Summer Reading Program starting in June, there has never been a better time to explore everything the library has to offer. Rainy day, sunny afternoon, or anywhere in between, the library is one of Paragould’s best places to learn, discover, and connect.

The Loose Caboose Festival rolled out of town last week, but its impact on Paragould is still being felt across the community. 🚂

Thousands of visitors experienced our city throughout the week, with guests traveling from across Arkansas and surrounding states to enjoy the festival, explore downtown, shop local businesses, dine in our restaurants, and attend the inaugural All Aboard Car & Air Show.

Events like the Loose Caboose Festival do more than provide entertainment. They help introduce new people to Paragould, support local businesses, generate tourism, and showcase the energy and momentum happening throughout our community.

With an estimated attendance of 25,000 and continued year-over-year growth, the festival continues to highlight why Paragould is becoming a destination for regional events and family experiences.

Thank you to everyone who visited our city and to the businesses, volunteers, sponsors, and community partners who help make events like this possible. We love seeing people discover Paragould. ❤️
