Paradise Gem and Mineral Club

Paradise Gem and Mineral Club PGMC is a non profit organization promoting the study of Earth Sciences through the collection of minerals and the lapidary arts. Come and join the fun!!

PGMC offers year round field trips to rock collection sites, a fully equipped lapidary workshop for the exclusive use of members, potluck socials, and education. We participate in local community events and host an annual Gem and Mineral Show. Field Trips:
Join us for our monthly rock collecting excursions. Most trip destinations are in NorCal and may be accomplished within a half or full day. Dur

ing the warmer months, overnight camping trips are planned for distant locations. Lapidary Workshop:
Our shop is equipped with saws, lap and cabbing machines, polishing wheels and more. Develop your skills with the assistance of the shop steward. Events:
We host an annual Gem and Mineral Show attended by thousands of rock enthusiasts, featuring dozens of vendors and activities for all ages. We also participate and host other community outreach events throughout the year. Socials:
Monthly potlucks are an opportunity to make new friends with a shared hobby and enjoy the fellowship of old friends. Education:
We offer monthly classes I silversmithing, casting, wire wrapping, carving, and more. We have an extensive library of lapidary and geology books, an elementary school education outreach program and much much more.
