When we think about health, we often focus on the physical. World Mental Health Day is a reminder that your mental health matters, and we’re here to be your partner in whole-person care — mind, body, and spirit.

If you are experiencing challenges with your mental health, it can be overwhelming to know who to talk to or how to seek help. But there is hope. Talk to your healthcare provider about what you’re experiencing. They will be able to talk to you about treatments, support groups, and resources to cope with mental illness. For more information on mental health services near you or to take a free depression risk assessment, visit adventisthealth.org/services/mental-health.

Last week, in recognition of Su***de Prevention Month, our team came together for Chalk the Walk, Have the Talk, sharing messages of hope, and encouraging conversations around important topic that's not discussed often enough.

During our first ever Chalk the Walk, our team brought their messages of hope and encouragement through beautiful and colorful chalk art — messages that are simple but powerful which we hope will spark conversations and remove the stigma around seeking help.

Now our sidewalks are filled with colorful chalk art — a powerful reminder that hope is always within reach and that no one has to walk through their struggles alone. These messages are more than words on pavement — they’re invitations to talk openly about mental health and reminders to reach out for support.

While the chalk will eventually wash away, we hope the messages and conversations they inspired will endure: You matter. You are not alone. There is hope. Thank you to those who worked to bring this meaningful event to Paradise and to everyone who joined us. Let's continue having the talk, and together we can remove the stigma around su***de and help save lives.

Join us for Wear Pink Day!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and we’re inviting our community to help us kick off the month by going PINK!

On Thursday, October 1, join Adventist Health Feather River team members in wearing pink to help raise awareness and show support for everyone whose life has been touched by breast cancer.

Wear a pink shirt, pink scrubs, pink socks or your favorite pink accessory — whether you’re at work, at school, running errands or spending the day at home, we’d love to see our community covered in pink!

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an opportunity to come together in support of our friends, family members, neighbors and community members affected by breast cancer, while also encouraging awareness, early detection and routine screening.

Wearing pink with us? Snap a photo and share it in the comments or tag Adventist Health Feather River so we can see how our community is showing its support!

And remember, awareness goes beyond wearing pink. Routine screening can help detect breast cancer earlier, when treatment may be more effective. If you’re due for a mammogram, consider this your reminder to get it scheduled.
