Hey folks - Music on the Bay 2026 is in the works! We've got all eight slots filled. Three are repeats from last year (Warren & Flick, Whorled, and The Bootstrap Boys). Plus three new acts from Northern Michigan and a couple new ones from West Michigan. And some will be on Thursday nights this year, to not interfere with euchre night!

(Jim Leitch here) Thanks to everyone who came out this summer to MOTB! I think quite a few of you were here for every show. We had about 100 show up for the first one (4th of July may have had something to do with the good turnout). And three other times turnout was between fifty and sixty, so I'm pretty happy about that!

Tonight, join us for an evening of music featuring Mark Lavengood from 5-8 pm. If you missed his performance at the Community Center last night, you can catch him again tonight. To ensure your comfort, we will have heaters under the tent. Our menu includes BBQ pulled pork nachos and $4.00 draft beer.

Last one!! MOTB this Wednesday, 8/27 at 7 pm. We're bringing Mark Lavengood to Paradise for this one. Forecast calls for rain so we'll probably be indoors again.

MOTB is always free, brought to you by the Paradise Area Chamber of Commerce. To raise funds to pay the bands, we accept donations, we sell 50/50 raffle tickets during the show (drawing at intermission), and we also grill hot dogs and brats that are available for a donation.

Next up at MOTB, Wednesday 8/20 at 7 p.m. - two remarkable musicians from Ann Arbor: Jacob Warren and Grant Flick. Jacob plays double bass, and Grant plays violin, tenor guitar, and nyckelharpa (a violin family "cousin" from Sweden). They play a fascinating mix of fiddle-based music that encompasses various folk traditions and their own original compositions.

MOTB is held rain or shine; we'll be indoors at the Community Center if the weather doesn't cooperate.

Coming up tomorrow at MOTB! Round Creek Trio plays a blend of bluegrass, folk, old-time, and contemporary styles. Based in West Michigan, RCT is currently touring through the State with stops along the way in Grand Haven, Rockford, Paradise, and Grand Rapids. They're capping off a busy run of shows with workshops at Wheatland Music Festival in September, and Great Lakes Music Camp in October.

Reminder: MOTB is free, brought to you by the Paradise Area Chamber of Commerce. We hold a 50/50 raffle every week to help raise money to pay the bands. Also, don't forget we will have grilled hot dogs and brats available. Name your price; proceeds benefit MOTB. And of course donations are always welcome! We want to keep this going next year!
