Hello Paradise-Opoly Fam!

I hope you’re all having a wonderful holiday season so far. It’s been a while since I’ve posted or shared updates, so I wanted to check in. Over the past year, I intentionally took a step back to focus on myself, my family, and my career. I work in the film and television industry, and this year has been a big one for me professionally—I’ve achieved several milestones I’m incredibly proud of.

Even with the break, I’ve been so grateful for the ongoing love and support Paradise-Opoly continues to receive. Local shops have kept it in stock, and it’s still available online for shipping nationwide. Fun fact: I now handle all the shipping myself! Each game is packed with care, and I aim to ship most orders the same day they’re placed.

I still have a good number of games in stock and am planning a second production run next year. I’m also exploring opportunities to get the game into big-box stores or work with a distributor to expand its reach. I truly believe Paradise-Opoly can resonate with other communities around the country—or even the world! Locally, I’m hoping to persuade Walmart and Walgreens to replace the knockoff version with mine (a goal I’m determined to accomplish). I’m still selling the gorgeous custom wood boxes. I plan on bringing those into some local shops so they can be seen in person for prospective buyers. They can also still be ordered online and shipped. They’re made to order with your custom name engraving. I also still have all the other goodies like custom dice, replacement game pieces, extra money packs and stickers. All available online.

This endeavour, although successful in my eyes, hasn’t been without its challenges. During the game’s launch and first year, I had an unfortunate and costly experience with a shipping and fulfillment partner that resulted in being overcharged thousands of dollars for storage and shipping. Despite spending nearly a year disputing it, I wasn’t able to recover the funds. It was a tough (and expensive) lesson, but just a speed bump—not a roadblock!

Looking ahead, I’m excited to dedicate more time and energy to the game and my company. If you missed me at local craft fairs this year, don’t worry—I plan to be back at those soon. I miss seeing everyone’s smiles and reactions when they discover the game for the first time.

Well, it has been one year to the day since Paradise-Opoly was officially released to the public. What started as a small idea turned into a lasting testament and memoir to a beloved community and culture that’s being enjoyed by thousands of families. The impact and importance of the game, and the experience of bringing family and friends together to play it, will continue to reveal itself over years to come. But, so far, it has proved to help many in remembering the town in a positive and sentimental light. Long time residents will smile with nostalgia. Children will learn the history and fun details about how it once was. And the newer residents will gain a deeper understanding of the rich nuanced culture that made us who we are.

I’m so proud of what this turned out to be and forever humbled by the support and feedback I’ve received over the years. I strived from the beginning to make it the best that I could and keep my word to the customers and supporters. I believe I’ve done that. My E-door is always open. If you’ve experienced an issue with your game, have some positive or negative feedback, or just wanna tell me your story, I love hearing it.

I hope to continue this journey for years to come and produce more Paradise-Opoly games. I believe even outside the Paradise loving community there are folks who would love finding a little slice of Paradise in every roll of the dice.

Can you believe it’s been almost one year since we officially released Paradise-Opoly! 1000’s of games sold and enjoyed. I’ve shipped games across the country to relocated residents. I’ve shipped games across the planet to troops on a military base. And, I handed hundreds out to you, personally, at the release or an event this year in Paradise. I hope, with all my heart, the end result has been a smile on your face and warm, familiar feeling in your heart.
