✨️ Troop 3030 Life Scouts continue to ROCK the Eagle Projects! This summer, Soledad, recognizing a need to help further children's education, partnered with Harvest Compasion Center to build a bookbox for their Maryvale location, and supplied it with much needed books for children!

Scouting is more than outdoor adventures—it's about building character, leadership, and a spirit of service. Scouts are taught to look beyond themselves, to lend a hand where it's needed, and to make a positive impact in their communities. Together, we learn that even small actions can make a big difference. Giving to others is what scouting is all about! Great job, Soledad! You nailed it!!

World Scout Scarf Day - 2025
Today, August 1, 2025, "World Scout Scarf Day 2025" is being celebrated across the globe.

The day commemorates the first Scout camp held on Brownsea Island on August 1, 1907, marking the beginning of this tradition now known as World Scout Scarf Day.

✨️ Troop 3030 proudly sent two of its outstanding scouts, Morgan and Kyla, to staff the High Desert Council's NYLT course at Gorham Scout Ranch in New Mexico this summer. Morgan and Kyla assumed key roles, with Morgan serving as the Assistant Youth Course Lead for Service and Kyla acting as the Senior Patrol Leader for the girls. The course's core focus is on cultivating servant leadership skills, enabling scouts to excel in their units and become leaders in their communities. The troop congratulates Morgan and Kyla on their impressive achievement and looks forward to seeing the impact of their leadership skills! We are thrilled to recognize their dedication to scouting! Great job scouts!!

✨️ A busy summer was had by the members of Troop 3030! We started off the summer with an Eagle Project implemented by Aislyn. She made homemade cat scratchers for a local animal rescue—and we couldn’t be more proud! 💛 Her project is not only creative, but it’s also making a real difference for animals in need. 🐾

Supporting shelters, helping our furry friends feel more at home, and giving back to the community—this is what it's all about!

💫🎊 CONGRATULATIONS to Troop 3030's newest Eagle Scout, Chantel! Chantel's scouting journey is filled with accomplishments! She has served as the Troop's SPL, has staffed NYLT twice, and completed a Philmont Trek! Her Eagle project was devoted to a cause close to her heart. She designed and built lasting improvements for a Chinese Senior Center that her family elders have attended. Chantel is also graduating high school this year with honors! Chantel, we are so proud of you, and we can't wait to see what you'll do next!!

🇺🇲 Reflection on Election Day: as one of the aims of scouting, scouting teaches youth the importance of citizenship and leadership, as scouts learn about their rights and responsibilities, and the importance of community engagement. They also learn about their obligations to others and the society they live in, as servant leaders.

Troop 3030 proudly provides leadership training to its newly elected troop leadership every 6 months! Congratulations to their new SPL and servant leaders! We can't wait to see what you'll do next!!

Troop 3030's Life Scout Maya completed her Eagle Project this weekend at Ryan House! This amazing organization and facility offers support to families of children with life-limiting conditions. Maya and her crew provided much needed work for Ryan House's outdoor space, including new gravel, as well as yard and special tile cleanup. Great job, Maya!!

Troop 3030 invaded the USS Iowa and Camp Emerald Bay off the coast of California on Catalina Island this week! It has been a week of AMAZING adventures including snorkeling, war canoeing, kayaking, motorboating, SUP, conservation projects, aquarium visits, and spending the night on a beautiful beach! We were honored to post morning flags on the 4th of July and even had a scout complete the Mile Swim in the ocean!!
