Welp, much emotion. Dom’s Park is finally complete almost four years after it opened! Today, two plaques were installed on the boulder located on the east side of the playground—a large plaque tells a little bit about Dom and a small plaque provides a thank you for all the love and support. The boulder on which the plaques are installed is from Minnesota and was graciously donated. The plaques were created shortly after Dom’s Park opened in 2021, but we really struggled to find anyone who was willing to install them. Thankfully, Bodie Dostal and his crew were able to get it done. We are indebted to Luke Altmann, Jake Meyer, Steve Atkins, Julie Kutilek, Bodie Dostal and crew, Impact Signs, Russ Fittje, the Papio NRD, as well as every single person who donated to our cause. All of you were instrumental in making this possible and allowing playground visitors to learn a bit about Dom and why Dom’s Park exists. Thank you!!

UPDATE: Due to weather, Dom's Park will be closed for resurfacing on Tuesday, April 8th, and Wednesday, April 9th. We know many want to get on that playground, but please abide the snow fence as the sealant requires 24 hours to fully cure. Help keep Dom's Park beautiful and we appreciate your patience!

Dominik and Nona (as the grandkids called her) had a very special relationship. Through our heartbreak, it gives us comfort knowing they are both together again. In lieu of flowers, consider honoring Nona with a memorial donation to Dominik Walters Memorial Fund or the New Ulm Food Shelf.

Thursday, Sept. 15 from 8 am-3 pm
Friday, Sept. 16 from 8 am-3 pm
Monday, Sept. 19 from 8 am-3 pm

It's hard to believe that it has been three years since Dom passed; he would have started second grade today. So, instead of walking him to-and-from school, we spent our day doing things he would have enjoyed--we went for a walk in the woods at Chalco, played at Dom's Park, flew a kite, went to eCreamery, and did our part to spread random acts of kindness. Man alive, it's been a crazy year since last August; we've accomplished so much we never thought possible. We could not have done it without your support. We love you all and thank you!
