Daylesford Abbey is a Roman Catholic religious community of priests, brothers and lay associates of the Norbertine Order. The Order was founded in 1121 by St.

Daylesford Abbey exists as a healing and reconciling community to enrich the church by our Norbertine communio, nourished by contemplation on God's Word, made visible in worship and service within the local church. Norbert in the French village of Prémontré. The Norbertine charism is one of common life, prayer and ministry marked by fostering peace, healing and reconciliation. Nestled amid 80+ acres of lush countryside in Philadelphia's western Main Line suburbs, the Abbey focuses on liturgy and worship, and provides people of all ages and religious backgrounds a wide range of programs and resources to foster spiritual well-being in an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality. A key feature of the Abbey is its Spirituality Center, which offers 36 newly renovated rooms for overnight guests. Spiritual direction is offered upon request and a theological library is available for guests.

What does holiness look like in our everyday lives?

Holiness does not require us to escape ordinary life.

In this week’s homily, Rev. John Joseph Novielli, O. Praem., reflects on the universal call to holiness and reminds us that becoming a saint begins in the ordinary moments of everyday life.

Drawing on the examples of St. Thérèse of Lisieux, St. Pier Giorgio Frassati, and St. Carlo Acutis, he encourages us to discover our own “little way,” use our God-given gifts, and put Christ at the center of our lives.

Celebrate Founders’ Day at Daylesford Abbey

Join us on Sunday, November 8, for Founders’ Day 2026 at Daylesford Abbey!

This year’s presentation, *“Man in the Middle: Reading Leo XIV through Augustine of Hippo,”* will be given by Christopher R. Altieri, PhD, journalist, author, and Vatican expert.

The day begins with Mass at 10:30 a.m. in the Abbey Church, followed by refreshments, the presentation, and a Q&A from noon to 2 p.m.

All are welcome. A free-will offering is appreciated.
