Team OC Team OC's mentor program is the heart of who we are- it's where our mission began.

By connecting youth with caring adults, we've built a foundation of trust, guidance, and hope that continues to shape everything we do. Team OC is dedicated to building a stronger, healthier, and more connected community by empowering people of all ages through food sustainability, mentorship, and shared experiences. Our program engage teens, seniors, veterans, and families creating opportunities for education, self-sufficiency, and meaningful relationships.

🌟 Orange County Youth Has Talent… and we can’t wait to see it shine again! 🌟

Team OC is excited to announce the 2nd Annual Rising Stars of Orange County Youth Talent Competition held during the Paoli Fall Festival!

After an incredible first year filled with amazing performances and unforgettable moments, we’re inviting Orange County’s young stars back to the stage to showcase their talents. Whether you sing, dance, play an instrument, perform magic, tell jokes, or have a talent all your own—we want to celebrate YOU!

⭐ Age Categories:
• 6–10 years
• 11–15 years
• 16–19 years

💰 $250 Grand Prize awarded in each age category, plus a $1,000 Ultimate Grand Prize, sponsored by Riverview Farms!

Summer is even more meaningful when our mentors and mentees are spending time together at Team OC’s Wednesday Craft Days with Sara Durbin our Team OC case manager.

Today, the mentors and mentees who visited the office created a masterpiece filled with color—much like the bright futures being shaped through the support, encouragement, and friendship of their mentors.

This week, we are excited to welcome three new mentors to the Team OC family, along with four new mentees beginning their journey with us.

If you have ever considered becoming a mentor to a young person in Orange County, now is the perfect time. We currently have seven youth waiting to be matched with a caring adult who can help encourage, guide, and walk beside them as they build a path toward a stronger tomorrow.

Team OC had the honor of presenting today at the Indiana School Health Network Conference in Plainfield, Indiana, sharing the story of the partnerships we have built with every school in Orange County and the incredible support we receive from our community.

At the conclusion of our presentation, attendees reviewed several of Team OC’s programs, including:

* Stress Busters (Evidence-Based Program)
* Teen Chefs Program/Liberty Garden
* Girls & Boys Empowerment
* Clothing Closets and Food Drives

The feedback was unanimous. Those who reviewed our programs were impressed by our ability to bring high-quality, impactful initiatives into our schools. When asked how we are able to accomplish so much, our answer was simple: our community.

It is the people of Orange County who walk beside us, believe in our mission, volunteer their time, support our efforts, and invest in our children. While it was a proud moment for Team OC, the greatest pride came from knowing that the work being recognized reflects the strength and compassion of the community we call home.

Even as schools enjoy summer break, Team OC has already been hard at work preparing for the year ahead—developing new content, seeking funding, building partnerships, and strengthening each of these programs so we can continue moving our children, families, and communities forward.

Together, we truly are better. Together, Orange County is stronger.

Team OC continues to grow, and over the past several weeks have added three new mentor /mentee matches to Team OC and this week we will celebrate three more new mentor matches! While we’re grateful for those stepping up, we still have six young men waiting for a positive male role model to walk alongside them.

A special thank you to Chris Terrell for leasing the property and believing in this vision. Because of your generosity, this has become so much more than a garden—it’s a thriving community space.

Creativity, connection, and community came together beautifully at Wednesday’s Art Club with Team OC hosted by our case manager Sara Durbin!

Several mentors and mentees spent the day today creating canvas paintings, sharing laughter, and enjoying pizza together while building relationships that will last far beyond the artwork they created.

☀️ A huge thank you to Shelby Sloan and the entire Paoli Community Schools Nutrition Team (OPAA!) for their incredible work in making sure children in our community have access to nutritious meals throughout the summer.

Programs like this make a real difference for families, helping ensure no child goes hungry when school is out. We are grateful for the time, planning, and dedication it takes to provide this important resource to our kids.
