Team OC Team OC's mentor program is the heart of who we are- it's where our mission began.

By connecting youth with caring adults, we've built a foundation of trust, guidance, and hope that continues to shape everything we do. Team OC is dedicated to building a stronger, healthier, and more connected community by empowering people of all ages through food sustainability, mentorship, and shared experiences. Our program engage teens, seniors, veterans, and families creating opportunities for education, self-sufficiency, and meaningful relationships.

Join us THIS SUNDAY, May 17th from 2PM–5PM on the beautiful Orange County Courthouse lawn as our community comes together for the America 250 Ice Cream Social — a celebration of family, community, patriotism, and everything that makes Orange County special. ❤️

This day is about more than ice cream… it’s about neighbors gathering together, kids laughing on the courthouse lawn, music filling the air, and creating memories that remind us why we love where we live.

✨ WHAT TO EXPECT:
🍦 FREE ice cream for the first 250 guests
🎁 Summer toys for the first 100 kids
📸 Photos with your favorite characters
🚲 FREE bike helmets while supplies last thanks to Indiana Department of Transportation
🔒 Gun locks and smoke detectors promoting summer safety
🚗 Beautiful classic cars from some of Orange County’s finest collectors
🎶 Live music by the amazing Lick Creek Band
🪁 Family fun, community booths, kids activities, and so much more

We are incredibly thankful to our Orange County Commissioners, community leaders, nonprofits, businesses, first responders, and volunteers who continue to prove that Orange County is truly better together.

Marshall from Paw Patrol stopped by the Team OC office today to help spread the excitement for this Sunday’s America 250 Ice Cream Social on the Orange County Courthouse lawn!

Bring the kids out for an afternoon full of community fun, music, activities, and memories as we kick off summer together.

Special reminder — the first 100 kids will receive a free summertime toy, and families will have the chance to take photos with Marshall during the event!

From free ice cream for the first 250 attendees to live music by Lick Creek Band, community activities, classic cars, and family fun throughout the afternoon — this is one event you do not want to miss.

This Sunday, come celebrate Orange County and help kick off summer at the America 250 Ice Cream Social on the Orange County courthouse lawn from 2PM–5PM!

Inspired by Richard Dixon’s vision of bringing the community together, this afternoon is all about celebrating what makes Orange County special — family, friends, community pride, and creating memories together.

Join us at 2PM in front of the courthouse for the official kickoff and then spend the afternoon enjoying live music, activities for the kids, community partners, some of Orange County’s finest classic cars, sweet treats, and so much more.

Kids will even have the chance to build their own glowing lightsaber while supplies last!

Bring your lawn chairs, bring the family, and let’s celebrate Orange County together as we welcome summer the right way.

This is Team OC’s third year participating in the Unified Champions event at Paoli High School for Orange County and surrounding counties — a day filled with laughter, joy, inclusion, and unforgettable memories.

As our children head into summer break, many families in Orange County will begin feeling the added pressure of keeping food on the table while kids are home throughout the day.

Many people may not fully understand the connection between food insecurity and mental health, but the impact is very real. When a parent worries about how to provide meals, stress and anxiety increase. When children are hungry, it can affect their emotions, confidence, focus, and overall wellbeing. Sometimes the greatest comfort a family can receive is simply knowing there is food in the pantry.

This summer, we encourage those who are able to consider picking up an extra box of cereal, granola bars, peanut butter, pasta, or other easy meal items during your grocery trip and dropping them off at one of our local food pantries.

Small acts of kindness can ease burdens in ways we may never fully see. Together, Orange County continues to show what it means to care for one another. ❤️

Orange County continues to show what it means to come together for our kids and families.

Team OC was incredibly blessed to be contacted by the Indiana Department of Transportation through their initiative with a donation of 200 bike helmets to help keep children in Orange County safe this summer. These helmets will be given away FREE this Sunday during the America 250 Orange County Ice Cream Social.

As school lets out and summer adventures begin, keeping our children safe becomes a priority for all of us. Whether it’s bike safety, water safety, fire prevention, or simply creating spaces where kids can thrive, it takes an entire community working together to make a difference.

A huge thank you to INDOT for believing in Orange County and investing in the safety of our children. Small acts of kindness and partnership continue to create a safer, stronger future for the families we serve.

This is community. This is Orange County.

Not everyone can give four hours a month to mentor. Not everyone is able to give financially. But every single person still has the ability to make a difference. Sometimes it’s a donation. Sometimes it’s encouragement. And sometimes it’s simply a text saying, “We have extra eggs — would your families be able to use them?”

That is what makes a community strong. People coming together in small ways that create a big impact. When everyone does what they can, families move forward, hope grows stronger, and lives are changed.

Orange County continues to show that being “better together” is more than a saying — it’s who we are. ❤️

These will go to our partners at the Orleans Food Pantry to help support the community.
