Pantego offers a higher call volume than average with regular working structure fires. On average 2-3 fires a month but can sometimes be 2-3 fires per SHIFT due to our automatic aid agreement with Arlington FD!

04/15/26
While performing a routine inspection in district, Pantego Engine 49 was dispatched to a structure fire off of Wagonwheel and Peachtree.
E49 arrived to find a fully involved 10 X 10 utility shed. E49 pulled a line for fire attack and was able to confine the fire to the shed and prevent it from spreading any further to surrounding buildings.
……………………………………………………….
FUN FACT🔥:
Did you know that YOUR Pantego FD runs approximately 2-3 working structure fires a MONTH?!
This is significantly higher than the average in the DFW metroplex!
We are proud to serve our citizens of the Town of Pantego and also greatly appreciate the support of Arlington FD and Pantego PD!

Last month, tragedy struck a family of 5 when their house caught on fire. Arlington FD crews were able to quickly put a stop to it but due to extensive smoke damage, the family has lost their home.

We asked you for your help in supporting this family with donations. Thanks to everyone’s support and the help of the Pantego Local 4949 association, we were able to give 20-30 articles of clothing, two pairs of tennis shoes and $200 in Amazon and restaurant gift cards.

We had the honor of hearing this family’s tragic but fortunately non fatal experience. Thanks to our brothers at Arlington FD, the family’s dog was saved from the fire.
Below are some pictures from the fire incident and our encounter with the family today.

We thank you again for all your support and look forward to serving our community and surrounding communities in these times of need.

Making It Happen!

Today, the Pantego Professional Firefighters Association received a $3,800 donation from our friends at Atmos Energy.

We want to recognize Firefighter/Paramedic Michael Rowell for his hard work coordinating with Atmos representative Al Hernandez to secure these funds.

The money will go towards calibration gas and maintenance for our handheld gas monitors.

These devices are critical tools we carry on calls to detect carbon monoxide and natural gas, keeping both our residents and our firefighters safe.

Thank you to Al and the entire team at Atmos for supporting your local first responders!

🇺🇸🔥 National Night Out 2025 — Together as One Community 🔥🇺🇸

What a great night in Pantego! Members of the Pantego Firefighter’s Association joined forces with our brothers and sisters from the Pantego Police Department, town staff, and the amazing residents who make this community what it is.

National Night Out is always a special time — a chance to connect with neighbors, build friendships, and show the teamwork between first responders and the citizens we serve. It’s about partnership, trust, and taking a night to stand together for safety and community pride.

We want to thank everyone who came out, volunteered, or just stopped by to say hello — and a big shout-out to all the families and kids who make events like this so meaningful.

We’re proud to serve a town where community truly matters. 💪👨‍🚒👮‍♀️

Today, on September 11th, we stand together to honor the 343 firefighters, countless first responders, and every innocent life lost on that tragic day in 2001.

As firefighters, we carry their legacy with us — a legacy of courage, sacrifice, and unwavering service to others in the face of unthinkable danger. Their example reminds us why we train, why we answer the call, and why we never forget.

To the families who lost loved ones, and to our brothers and sisters who continue to serve in their memory, you are forever in our thoughts.

We will never forget.

Update on Fort Worth Firefighters

Our brothers at Fort Worth Fire Department have shared an update on the two firefighters injured during yesterday’s devastating structure fire.

Lieutenant Troy Gallagher has been released from the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.

Firefighter Caleb Halvorson remains hospitalized at Parkland’s burn unit, facing a long road of surgeries and rehabilitation after suffering significant burns, a severe knee injury, and other trauma. Caleb’s survival after being pinned under collapsing debris was described by fellow firefighters as nothing short of miraculous.

Please continue to keep Caleb, his wife Haley, and their newborn—still in the NICU—in your thoughts and prayers as they face the challenges ahead.

If you feel lead to support them financially, there is a link below from the Fort Worth Fire Department. This is the only official fundraiser for the family.

The Pantego Firefighters Association stands with our Fort Worth brothers and sisters and will continue to lift Caleb, Troy, their families, and the FWFD family in prayer.

***Additional Update: Fort Worth Fire has made it clear the link in the post below is the only official fundraiser for the Halvorson family. Please only use the link shared directly by FWFD.

There are already other links being circulated, and while they were likely shared with good intentions, they do not match the link for the official fundraiser. With situations like this, it’s important to make sure support goes exactly where it’s needed and can be trusted.***
