June 13th in military history :
💥On June 13, 1944, N**i Germany launched the first V-1 flying bomb attack on London, marking the historic debut of the cruise missile in warfare. Known as "buzz bombs" 💣 due to the distinct buzzing sound of their pulsejet engines, these weapons inaugurated a new era of unmanned terror campaigns.
1942: The U.S. Office of War Information (OWI) was established to manage propaganda and document America’s World War II mobilization, and the Office of Strategic Services (OSS)—the precursor to the CIA—was officially formed.
1971: The New York Times began publishing excerpts of the Pentagon Papers, a highly classified Defense Department study on U.S. involvement in Vietnam.
