Today I had the honor of attending the International Women’s Day celebration at Hotel Pattee in Perry with my sister-in-law, Heather Moore, owner of Fields of Heather Flower Farm. 🌸 It was such an inspiring and uplifting morning.
International Women’s Day is celebrated around the world to recognize the achievements, strength, and contributions of women in every part of life — from family and community leadership to business, education, and beyond. It’s also a time to support equality, encourage opportunity, and stand together to empower future generations of women.
This year’s theme, “Give to Gain,” focused on generosity, cooperation, and lifting each other up — a beautiful reminder that when women and communities support one another, opportunities grow and lives are changed.
We heard powerful messages from incredible speakers, enjoyed coffee and pastries, and received thoughtful door prizes from local women-owned businesses. Heather even donated a gift certificate for a free fresh-cut flower bouquet this spring from her flower farm when everything is in bloom — such a thoughtful way to support the event and share a little beauty with someone special. 💐
It was wonderful seeing so many people come together to celebrate, encourage, and honor women of all ages.
Grateful to have been part of such a meaningful community event. 💜
