Last week, Panama FFA traveled to Tulsa, to attend the Oklahoma State FFA Convention. This year marked a major milestone as Oklahoma FFA celebrated its 100th State Convention. We were proud to have two students walk across the stage to receive their State FFA Degree. Congratulations Hayven Hoffman and Cannon Ysbrand.
Students also enjoyed several fun activities throughout the trip, including visits to Suite Shots and the Tulsa Zoo. Overall, it was a great experience and a wonderful way to wrap up the year for our FFA program.

Panama Ag departments surplus sale is still in progress. Our sale will close April 26th. All the money raised from our shop items will go directly back into the Ag program.

Panama FFA is super proud of these two students. They have worked super hard throughout their Ag career and they are well deserving of their State FFA Degrees! Congratulations Hayven Hoffman and Cannon Ysbrand.

Panama FFA is proud to recognize two outstanding seniors who have earned their Oklahoma State FFA Degree — one of the highest honors a state association can award.

To receive the Oklahoma State FFA Degree, members must demonstrate years of dedication through their Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE), earn and invest significant income, complete advanced coursework in agricultural education, participate in leadership and community service activities, and show strong involvement at the chapter level and beyond. It represents commitment, record-keeping excellence, leadership growth, and real-world agricultural skill development.

Hayven Hoffman — SAE: Goat Production & Management

Earning the State FFA Degree is no small accomplishment — it takes years of hard work, leadership, and perseverance.

Congratulations, Cannon and Hayven! Panama is incredibly proud of you both and the legacy you leave behind.

They will receive their awards on stage at the State FFA Convention this May. It will be the 100th Anniversary of the state convention!

Bit of a late post. This past Wednesday Panama FFA s***t shooting teams traveled to Keota for our first s***t shoot of the year. They learned a lot about what they need to work on before the next contest, so overall it was a good outing.

Monday our Opening & Closing Ceremonies team traveled to Stillwater to compete in the state contest Tuesday morning. They didn’t make it to the finals, but they represented Panama FFA with class. I’m very proud of all their hard work and dedication.

Panama FFA has been pretty busy lately. Last week our Opening & Closing Ceremony teams traveled to Bokoshe, Byng and Kiefer to compete. We started this week off Monday with our last jackpot contest in Pawhuska. Tonight two of our teams competed in our regional competition that we had the opportunity to host in Panama this year. The top two teams qualify for state and get the chance to compete at Stillwater next week. Panama 2 won 3rd place and received a banner. Panama 1 won the contest and qualified for state next week. Super proud of these students for all of their hard work and dedication. Go Razorbacks!

Our Opening & Closing Ceremonies teams got the opportunity to travel to Kellyville yesterday to compete in our first contest of the year. Although these students didn’t place in the top three, each contest gives them a chance to practice and grow their skills. Next stop is Bokoshe, Monday October 6th.

Panama FFA made a lot of changes to the ag building this summer from repainting the shop walls to repainting the second classroom. I also want to give a special thanks to Panama Public Schools for helping us purchase our new floor coating for our ag shop.

Huge shoutout to Panama Public Schools for assisting Panama FFA in the purchase of this brand new 2024 Sundowner Livestock Trailer. The students are excited and ready to start taking it to livestock shows this coming school year.
