⚠️ Hurricane Isaias Office Closure Update ⚠️

Out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our team members, families, and community, Children's Home Society of Florida's Pensacola and Emerald Coast offices will close today at 12:00 p.m. and remain closed through Friday as we continue to monitor Hurricane Isaias.

If you are currently receiving services through CHS and need support during this time, please contact your case manager directly.

We encourage everyone to follow local emergency guidance, make preparations as needed, and stay safe. We will share additional updates as they become available.

Our thoughts are with all those in the path of the storm. 💙

The future is so, so bright! 🎓

Our Teen Outreach Program (TOP) celebrated graduating seniors during Senior Send-Off, honoring these graduates' hard work, resilience and determination as they prepare for what's next.

At CHS, our Ready to Earn impact area helps young people build the skills, confidence and support they need to pursue their goals and create brighter futures. Thanks to the generosity of our donors and volunteers, these students received essentials to help ease their transition to college and begin this next chapter feeling empowered and prepared.

When young people are given opportunities, encouragement and a strong support system, there's no limit to what they can achieve! 🥳

Behind every young person reaching for what’s next is someone reminding them just how capable they are. ❤️

For Kayla, one of our supervisors, that meant stepping up as a mentor through the Florida Youth Leadership Academy and helping Camyra build confidence, strengthen her self-advocacy skills and explore opportunities for her future.

From exploring college and earning college credits to developing leadership skills, Camyra continues to show what’s possible when young people have the right support in their corner.

That’s what our Ready to Earn impact area is all about: helping young adults build the skills, connections and confidence they need to successfully transition into adulthood and pursue their goals! 👏

One Healthy Start mom faced pregnancy complications, a brain tumor diagnosis and other challenges while caring for her young family. With support from CHS, her own determination and a caring community, she created a brighter future for herself and her children. 💙

Together, through the inaugural Seaside Soirée, we raised $165,000 to support children and families across Northwest Florida and help build bridges to brighter futures.

This milestone was made possible by the generosity of our sponsors, guests, donors, committee members, volunteers, vendors, and community partners who believed in the vision for this event and the mission behind it. These final seats are available only in pairs of two, so we ask that tickets be purchased in pairs. Each pair will be seated together, but because of our current seating layout, groups larger than two may need to be split between tables.

Adoption day is an important milestone, but a family’s need for support does not end when an adoption is finalized.

When an adoptive family in Walton County reached out to CHS during a difficult season, conflict at home had escalated to the point that residential treatment felt like their only remaining option.

Through CHS Post-Adoption Services, the family was connected with individual therapy, intensive in-home services, family counseling, and additional community support.

Slowly, another path began to emerge.

Communication improved. Sibling relationships grew healthier. The family made changes at home to create a safer environment, explored a different school setting, and developed a stronger support system within their community.

Your support helps adoptive families know they do not have to navigate challenging seasons alone. It helps families remain connected, supported, and together. Thank you.

Change rarely happens because of one conversation, one appointment, or one resource. Often, it happens because someone continues showing up.

When one mother entered Healthy Families West Florida, she felt overwhelmed, isolated, and unsure of her ability to create the life she wanted for her child.

Through regular home visits, her family support specialist became a consistent source of encouragement, parenting education, and practical guidance. Over time, this mom began recognizing her own strengths.

She created greater stability at home, returned to work, regained her driver’s license, and began taking meaningful steps toward reconnecting with her older children.

Her progress is a reminder of the power of relationships.
