WOW!

What a great turnout this morning at the 250th July 4th Birthday Celebration 5K.

What’s a better way to come back from a 4-day weekend than to celebrate our TSgt Selectees on Tuesday and then with some phenomenal PT 🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏾🏆 the next morning.

A huge special shoutout to (T)Sgt Rachel Thygeson and SSgt Julie Navin for leading this event. They had a two week notice to host this and stepped up with ZERO hesitation. Also woke up at 4 am to make sure everything was set up to run smoothly today.

Also thank you to SrA Stephanie Garcia and our other volunteers who assisted with hydration stations, setup & teardown, and supported all of our runners!

Congratulations to our newest TSgt Selectees!

What an amazing honor to be selected for the next rank. Remember all the great things you accomplished and lessons you learned as a SSgt. Cherish this moment with your loved ones and be ready to continue Leading by Example for our Airmen as one day they will be in these shoes and you will be celebrating with them.

Special shoutout to TSgt Casteel, TSgt Ayala and SSgt Salerno on hosting an amazing event to honor our selectees.

5/6 ROCKSTARS ‼️‼️‼️

Today the Rising 4 hosted a Kickball tournament called “Clash Of the Ranks”.

Where we had Rising 4, Focus 5/6, Top lll, First Sergeants, Chiefs and CGOs all competing for the Lords of Kickball Trophy. It was amazing to see everyone display their athleticism and friendly competition.

Shoutout to the Rising 4 Council and those who were involved in coordinating a phenomenal event! I see many more competition events in the near future. 👀

With that being said …we had to remind everyone why NCOs are the backbone of the Air Force ‼️🏆💪🏽🗣️

Why I joined: I joined the 5/6 to connect with other NCOs, get more involved, and contribute to morale and development.

A great turn out at today’s monthly 5/6 meeting. We are seeing new faces each and every meeting! Today we discussed the TSgt and SSgt Promotion Release parties and even had some volunteers take that step to help coordinate and run the event! Lastly, we had a professional development lesson as well 👀

Keep spreading the word of the amazing things we are trying to do here at Tyndall AFB… the more attendees -> the more ideas we will have = making the NCO core at Tyndall AFB stronger 💪
