Contact us for more info on the JP-PAS program!

The JP-PAS program in Florida—officially the James Patrick Memorial Work Incentive Personal Attendant Services and Employment Assistance Program—provides monthly financial stipends and reimbursements to working adults with significant disabilities who need help with daily personal care. Administered by the Florida Association of Centers for Independent Living, it helps individuals keep competitive employment by covering the cost of a personal care attendant.

Come join us at the United Way 2026 Campaign Kickoff on Thursday, August 27, from 5:00–7:00 PM at the FSU-PC Holley Center.

This year’s kickoff will feature a new interactive experience centered on ALICE — Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed — households. Participants will have an opportunity to step into the shoes of working families and experience firsthand the difficult financial choices many households in our community make every day.

This is especially relevant to the work United Way of Northwest Florida does through Family Service Agency of Bay County. Many of the families and neighborhoods they serve are directly affected by the challenges highlighted through the ALICE framework. This experience can help inform the continued conversations about economic mobility, family stability, access to resources, and how their programs can make a meaningful difference.
