At first glance, this might look like people claiming public spots for the fireworks. But around here, it’s not entitlement—it’s tradition.

Neighbors wake up early, set out their chairs before the Florida heat kicks in, spend the day visiting with friends, coordinate bringing their pets, share snacks, and enjoy the waterfront together. By the time the fireworks begin, they’ve spent the day building memories with their community.

What looks like “saving a spot” is actually one of the Cove’s longest-standing Fourth of July traditions. ❤️🤍💙

Every parade, movie night, holiday celebration, Christmas event, and neighborhood gathering is made possible because neighbors step up to support our community.

That's right, Cove! This year we're doubling the fun! 🎉🛺

⭐ July 3 | 6:30 PM
The Cove Crew will host our annual neighborhood Independence Day Golf Cart Parade—a tradition they've proudly coordinated for years! Decorate your cart in your best red, white, and blue and join for an evening of patriotic fun.

Hi all, we are looking for a few volunteers to help with setup/cleanup and the watermelon eating contest (both adult and kid)! Please message us if you're interested in helping. Doesn't take long to get the event set up and clean up takes about 30 minutes of your time.

Also, don't forget, the Cove Crew is hosting the neighborhood golf cart parade on July 3rd and the The Cove Events is having one July 4th starting at Dollar General and launching our event. If interested in our event, please line up at the DG parking lot starting at 6:30pm.

Neighbors, This is a longer post FULL of information for Cove Fest!

We are one week away from our July 4th celebration. We are excited and hope you are too. Remember, our event is free to attend BUT we host these events purely with your donations. We will have Birdhouses for donations set up again this year.! All donations are very much appreciated and welcome. The birdhouses will take cash but you can donate via Venmo if that is easier.

TIMELINE OF COVEFEST
our event is from 6-9:30
Streets will close at 4:30 for setup

We will have co****le, giant connect four, and chalk for kids of all ages, temporary tattoos for the kids, and a dance "floor" throughout the event.

The Cove Crew is hosting the July 4th Golf Parade on July 3rd. Contact them for more info.
We will also do a short parade to kick off the event (as we did last year). If interested in being in it, come to line up at the Dollar General at 6:30 on the 4th and we will get our party started right!

7:30 Kids watermelon eating contest (signup will be at the Cove Events tent)
8:00 adult watermelon eating contest (signup will be at the Cove Events tent)

Our vendor market will be available throughout the event (ending at 8:30)

Fireworks begin at 9:00

Street will reopen @ 10pm.
