Today, the Youth Alliance Matters Foundation family celebrates the man who continues to lead, serve and show up for our youth and our community.

Markel’s dedication goes far beyond his title as President. He leads by example, gives his time, encourages our youth and continues to represent the values YAMF stands for.

Today is even more special as he celebrates his 31st birthday AND officially puts on the rank of Tech Sergeant in the United States Air Force! 🇺🇸👏🏽

Your discipline, perseverance, leadership and commitment to service inspire our youth, our team and our community.

Through our partnership with Max CPR & Medical Training, we are teaching our youth life saving skills, building confidence, and preparing them to step up when it matters most.

Harper, we are incredibly proud of you! Your courage, quick thinking, and willingness to help someone in need speak volumes about the young person you are becoming.

🏃🏾‍♂️🔥 WHO’S READY TO PUT IN SOME MILES WITH OUR PRESIDENT?!

Our very own YAMF President, Markel Goode has been putting in WORK! He’s currently training for a half marathon and has already worked his way up to running 10 MILES! 💪🏾👏🏾

Now we’re thinking… why not turn his journey into something BIGGER?

We’re considering launching MILES THAT MATTER, a youth fitness initiative where our young people can come out, run, walk, work out, stretch, and train alongside Markel while learning about discipline, consistency, accountability, and healthy living.

You don’t have to be an athlete. You don’t have to be fast. You just have to be willing to SHOW UP!

And here’s the bigger picture: We don’t want this to stop when Markel crosses that finish line. We’d love to turn it into an ongoing program that keeps our youth active, motivated, and connected.

🚨❤️ YOUTH CPR & FIRST AID TRAINING IS BACK! ❤️🚨

What if YOUR child was the only person around who knew what to do in a life-threatening emergency?

We recently witnessed the REAL impact of our CPR program when one of our 14-year-old participants used the skills she learned to step in and assist during a cardiac emergency right here in our community! ❤️

We're getting ready for an unforgettable night on the water with Youth Alliance Matters Foundation and Double Knot Fishing Charters!

Harper Grace, YOU are the reason we do what we do!

On behalf of Youth Alliance Matters Foundation and Max's CPR and Medical Training we want to recognize this extraordinary young lady for her courage, compassion, and willingness to step up when it mattered most.

Harper recently participated in one of our CPR training classes, and on September 15, 2026, at just 14 years old, she put those lifesaving skills into action, assisting another responder during a medical emergency at Walmart.

Harper, you didn’t hesitate. You saw someone in need, recognized that you could help, and took action. We couldn’t be prouder of you!

To her parents, thank you for raising a young lady who understands the importance of serving others. And to everyone who has helped shape her into the remarkable young woman she is today, this moment is a testament to that love and guidance.

This is why Youth Alliance Matters Foundation exists. We don’t just want to host events or teach classes. We want to equip our youth with the knowledge, confidence, and courage to make a real difference in their communities.

Harper, you’ve reminded us that our work matters and that age does not determine the impact you can have on someone’s life.

We are incredibly proud to have played a small part in preparing you for this moment. Please know that your YAMF family is cheering you on! We are also keeping this gentleman and his family in our thoughts and prayers for a full recovery.

Inclement weather/lightning has pushed in, looks like it will be around for an hour, so we will cancel this cleanup and pick back up next month.

YAMF is back with our monthly cleanups with the local youth! All community members are invited to join!

This Saturday we will be at John B Gore Park, 599 Beulah Ave

Come out from 8-9AM to help keep our local areas clean, connect with new people, and enjoy the outdoors.

A Huge Thank You to our community from Youth Alliance Matters Foundation! ♻️

Thank you to everyone who participated in and supported our Landfill Run this week! We are grateful for the opportunity to help community members clear unwanted items from their properties, create more usable space, and make a positive impact throughout our community.

Your donations and support help us continue providing meaningful programs and services for local youth and families. Every contribution, whether through participation, volunteering, or donations, makes a difference and is sincerely appreciated.
