Hurricane Isaias Assistance & Recovery Resources

As communities across the Florida Panhandle and Alabama begin assessing the impacts of Hurricane Isaias, we want our neighbors to know that they are not alone.

Abide Community is working alongside disaster response partners to identify needs, connect resources, and help coordinate recovery efforts in affected communities.

NEED ASSISTANCE?

If you or someone you know has experienced storm-related damage or needs recovery assistance, please reach out to our team. We are gathering information about community needs and working to connect those affected with available resources.

EARLY RESPONSE TEAMS & VOLUNTEERS

If your trained Early Response Team (ERT) or disaster response organization is available to assist, we would love to hear from you. Please contact us with your team’s availability, location, and capabilities so we can help coordinate efforts as needs are identified and conditions allow.

As the storm moves through our communities, we want to remind everyone that your safety comes first.

Please remain in a safe location, avoid unnecessary travel, and continue following updates and guidance from local emergency management officials. Stay alert as conditions change, and make sure you and your loved ones have a safe place to shelter.

We know storms like these can bring uncertainty, but now is the time to remain calm, stay informed, and look out for one another.

At Abide Community, we continue to monitor conditions and remain ready to support our communities as needs arise.

For now, please prioritize your safety and the safety of those around you.

As Hurricane Isaias continues to strengthen and approach the Gulf Coast, we encourage everyone in its projected path to take this storm seriously and complete preparations as soon as possible.

Please prioritize the safety of yourself and your family, stay informed through local emergency management officials, and follow any evacuation instructions. Check on your neighbors, especially those who may need additional assistance, when it is safe to do so.

At Abide Community, we are closely monitoring conditions and coordinating with our disaster response partners as we prepare to support communities through response and recovery efforts.

This November, we’re coming together again for an evening of w**e, food, community, and giving back, all in support of Abide Community’s Aging in Place Program.

As Trish shares, sometimes even a small home improvement can make a big difference for a senior or veteran who wants to remain safe and independent in their own home. Your support helps us continue making those improvements possible.

Turns out, “we should totally…” can turn into a pretty long to-do list around here. 😂

Between preparing to open Abide Thrift, getting more affordable housing units ready, planning Pour Into Purpose, and continuing our Aging in Place and disaster recovery work, there’s a lot happening at Abide right now.

And somewhere in the middle of all that, we’re patiently (very patiently 👀) waiting to hear back on a few exciting opportunities!

A lot of those “we should totally…” conversations are becoming real all at once, and we’re pretty excited about what’s ahead.
