Panama City Lost & Found Animals

Panama City Lost & Found Animals Where citizens of Bay County and beyond can post for missing or found animals! People, owning a pet is a HUGE responsibility.

Legal Disclaimer: Panama City Lost & Found Animals is not responsible for any posts on this page. If anyone is discovered using this page for malice intent or evidence is found of illegal activity you will be pursued to the full extent of the law. We started this page to help owners find lost or stolen pets, as well as for those who find lost or stolen animals to help find their home. We recently

found a dog in the middle of the road that is very sweet, well behaved and obviously well taken care of and have yet to find his owners. It needs not be said that animals (pitbulls in particular) really do not stand a chance when taken to animal shelters. All too often people adopt/buy animals then realize the repsonsibility and dump it at a shelter or worse, the middle of no where. The dumping of animals has become a big problem in Panama City and the surrounding areas. They are not possesions, they are living, being creatures with feelings just like you and I. If you can't afford to keep your pet, put it in the classifieds, post it on here, or worst case scenario, have it put down. The worst thing you can do is go throw it out on the side of the road. That is pure torture. Also, if you are posting about an animal you have found, PLEASE DO NOT post pics, and get a complete and accurate descripton before giving the animal away. Once again, this is mostly with pitbulls, people will adopt these animals for malicious purposes. This is also a problem that EVERYONE needs to be aware of. With all that being said, thank you for checking us out, and please "Like" this page to help raise awareness of these issues.

Pet Owners Beware!

Pet Owners Beware!

⚠️ SCAM ALERT ⚠️
We have been made aware of a telephone scam targeting individuals who have recently posted about a lost pet on flyers or on social media.

Several people have reported receiving calls from individuals claiming to be from the Lynn Haven Animal Shelter. The caller tells the pet owner that their missing animal has been brought into the shelter and then asks questions to verify ownership.

Unfortunately, the scam doesn’t stop there.

The caller then claims the animal is injured and says emergency surgery is needed immediately through our independently contracted veterinarian. And care to guess what they ask for next? Yep… a credit card number so they can “begin treatment right away.”

Please be advised:
🚫 This is NOT the Lynn Haven Animal Shelter.
🚫 This is NOT how our shelter handles these situations.
🚫 We will NEVER request immediate payment over the phone for emergency veterinary procedures involving a found pet or anything remotely related to this scam.

If your pet is ever brought into our shelter, our staff will identify themselves clearly and work directly with you through normal, verifiable procedures.

Please help us spread the word by sharing this post so others do not fall victim to this scam.
