After the loss of our co-founder we had taken a long break from investigating, but we are currently working on building the team back together and continue investigating in honor of Cory Harrison. The team has conducted many investigations with varying and interesting results. E
verything from EVP's to full bodied apparitions. Our team focuses on debunking paranormal claims while using scientific methods and the most current technology. While we do believe in the paranormal, not all locations we investigate can be considered as being haunted. If the occurrence can not be explained after all natural or man made causes are ruled out, a paranormal can be the only explanation. Meet the Team:
Mark VanDike - Founder- Mark's interest in the paranormal began after a personal experience he encountered. After that, he began doing research into the events that occurred that evening. During his research, he soon discovered that there have been paranormal occurrences happening around him since he was little. Once years of research and testing techniques used in the field were completed, Mark formed PIER to help others understand what may be going on within their home or business. As expected, Mark wears a multitude of hats within the team including lead trainer. Safety and protection of both families are always priority one. Indya-Photographer. Indya has had a few experiences in the past to make her a believer in the paranormal. She never really thought about pursuing the field of paranormal investigating until she met her husband Mark. Indya brings excitement and willingness to learn that the team has missed since the loss of Cory. She also brings her abilities as an empath to an investigation. Empaths sense emotions very quickly and deeply, a great sense of understanding, and are more sensitive to what they are experiencing. Greg- Equipment Manager- is the scientific perspective to the team. He often researches scientific explanations and how they were discovered on subjects that are not known to him. Such research has led Greg in to looking at the curiosities within the paranormal field. Between his research and past experiences, Greg is excellent with debunking while out in the field. He answered to a post Mark had made inviting anyone to join an investigation, and has been with us ever since. William-Chief of Evidence Review-has had a long term interest in the paranormal. So much so, that he started his podcast "Tales From the Dark Roast" on the matter. William didn't realize Mark was into the paranormal when they worked together at WMBB. He got a chance to hear a few of the stories from Mark when he was a guest on the podcast. William's experience in the news media makes him a huge asset in reviewing evidence from an investigation. As a remote team member, we can test out some theories that we have produced. Chey-Current Co-Founder is the daughter of Mark. Though you can say she was kind of born into it, she wasn't allowed to join until much later in life. Chey has expanded her knowledge through personal experience and online training. Though there are mixed emotions stepping in to her new title, but the love for Cory fuels her ambition to honor him. Matt-Head of Research-was brought in to the team by Cory. Matt has always been down for going out to an investigation. Cory's passion was infectious. Matt will continue to exert that passion in Cory's honor. As the head of research, Matt will be able to be an intracranial part of the team, even if he's unable to join us during an investigation. Without research, we can't grow as a team.
