This week, we are honored to spotlight one of our former Evers House clients and celebrate just how much can change when someone chooses recovery.

Five years ago, Nichole Brook never imagined the life she has today. She believed her story would end in prison or death. Addiction had taken her down a road filled with chaos, shame, and pain—and at the time, she couldn't imagine living any other way.

Today, her life looks completely different.

She has both of her children by her side. She works two jobs, has her own home and car, manages her own finances, and has become someone the people around her can depend on. Even more exciting, she is working toward a dream of starting her own business and eventually creating a recovery program in her hometown.

But one of the things she is most proud of isn't something she owns or has accomplished—it's being able to help other people find recovery.

Evers House is bringing our community together for an evening of awareness, remembrance, hope, and healing through our Walk For Life - Fentanyl Awareness Walk.💜

This walk is for everyone who has been impacted by the uprising fentanyl epidemic and addiction. Whether you are walking for a lost loved one, supporting someone in recovery, or wanting to raise awareness, we want YOU there!

Come walk with us. Bring family, coworkers, friends, church members, organizations, and anyone who believes that every life matters.

Together, we can raise awareness, honor those we have lost along the way, support those who struggle, and help save lives 🤍🕊️
