Family Service Agency of Bay County

Family Service Agency of Bay County We are a 501(c)(3) that serves Bay and surrounding
counties. All items given away free of charge. Everything we do depends on donations.

Family Service Agency's mission is to provide the needed items and services to supplement every possible area of our client's life - directly, or by giving them referrals to where help can be found. By providing these items and services our goal is to ensure that they have the items needed to remain (or become) employed and sheltered. The items provided, while not financial help to free up money i

n their budget to pay their rent and utilities. When funding is available we are, at times, able to help financially with Gulf Coast Electric Cooperative power bills or water bills. This help is dependent upon completion of a full agency application and submission of all necessary documentation. All items given are free, all items given have been donated to our agency by individual donors or local businesses. Items needed are posted here on our page and on our website. We also have a donor email list that anyone can join by providing us with their name and email address. Monetary donations are always appreciated as they help us keep our building's mortgage paid, or utilities turned on, staff paid, and allows us to help clients with financial assistance. All donors have the option to designate how they wish their financial contributions to be used. Programs include: Clothing, Food, Baby/Toddler Items, Medical Equipment/Supply, Household/Linens, Employment Support (Adult Bicycles and Work Shoes, Cleaning Supplies, Hygiene Items, Christmas, other Holidays, Senior/Grandparent Program, and Homeless Needs. We are preparing our seniors for hurricane season! We are proud to partner with Florida Power & Light Company and the Florida Council on Aging to distribute hurricane preparedness meal kits to our Bay County Council on Aging clients. After serving all of our Bay County Council on Aging clients, any remaining meal kits will be distributed to seniors in need in our broader community.

Each kit includes three days of shelf-stable food, water, snacks and a hurricane preparedness guide...helping ensure that our most vulnerable neighbors have the resources they need to stay safe before and after a storm!

We will distribute these meals to our clients this Wednesday, June 17th from 10:30a.m. - 12:30p.m. at Coulliette Senior Center located at 1116 Frankford Ave., Panama City.

Together, we're helping our seniors stay ready for storm season!

Is your family ready for hurricane season?

If Florida is in the forecasted path of a storm, having a plan can make all the difference. Take time now to create or review your family emergency plan so everyone knows:

✔️ Where to go if you need to evacuate
✔️ How to stay in touch, if separated
✔️ What medications, medical equipment, or special needs should be included in your preparations
✔️ What supplies are needed before a storm arrives

The Florida Department of Health works alongside partners across the state to help ensure Floridians have the information and resources they need to prepare for hurricane season.
