Today, we’re celebrating a very special milestone—Angela Klopf’s 5th work anniversary as CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Bay County!

Over the past five years, Angela has helped transform the reach and impact of Habitat in our community. Under her leadership, Habitat has grown to build five to seven homes each year, launched an annual Impact Report, expanded community engagement, and created new opportunities for people across Bay County to get involved.

Angela has also brought our community together through signature events like the Hammer Down Event and Women’s Build, creating meaningful opportunities for businesses, volunteers, community leaders, and individuals to unite behind a shared mission: helping local families build strength, stability, and self-reliance through homeownership.

One of Angela’s greatest gifts is her ability to bring people together. From uniting Bay County’s local credit unions to sponsor and build a Habitat home, to bringing together Rotary Clubs for a special Habitat build day, she continues to show what’s possible when our community works together.

Her leadership extends far beyond Habitat’s walls. As she begins her second term as Honorary Commander at Tyndall Air Force Base, Angela continues to build partnerships, strengthen connections, and create opportunities for our community to serve and grow.

Angela, thank you for five years of vision, leadership, collaboration, and dedication to Bay County. We are so grateful for everything you do and for the lasting impact you’re making in the lives of local families.

💙 Happy 5th Work Anniversary, Angela! Here’s to many more years of building homes, building hope, and building community! 🏠🔨

The big winners of the evening at the 3rd Annual Hammer Down Fundraising Event were seven local credit unions and Mike Akers, whose leadership helped bring an incredible community project to life.

Last year, seven credit unions came together to fund and build a home for Habitat for Humanity of Bay County. Their commitment and collaboration earned them well-deserved Community Impact Awards at this year’s event.

Behind much of that collaboration was Mike Akers, who received the President’s Impact Award for his leadership in bringing all seven credit unions together and getting everyone fully committed to the project. Mike’s enthusiasm and dedication helped bring everyone on board—and we couldn’t be more appreciative.

All In Credit Union, Champions First Credit Union, Hello Credit Union, Panhandle Credit Union, Tyndall Federal Credit Union, Innovations Financial Credit Union, and Loyalty Credit Union were all in attendance to accept their awards and celebrate the impact they made together.
It was a powerful example of what can happen when our community comes together, gets all in, and works toward a common goal.

We would like to once again congratulate and thank Tyndall Air Force Base for receiving the Construction Impact Award at the 3rd Annual Hammer Down Fundraising Event!

The airmen and women of Tyndall AFB dedicated countless hours to making a difference in our community, volunteering at the home site, the Habitat for Humanity ReStore, and in many other ways. Their hard work, dedication, and willingness to serve played an important role in helping us build a stronger community.

We are incredibly grateful for their continued partnership and all they do to support Habitat for Humanity of Bay County. Thank you, Tyndall AFB, for being a tremendous community partner!
