Looking for a relaxing way to support the arts?
The Panama City Center for the Arts is looking for friendly volunteers to help us at our front desk Tuesday-Saturday!

Front Desk Volunteers help us:
👋 Welcome visitors to the Center for the Arts
☎️ Answer the phone and basic questions
🖼️ Help create a warm, welcoming experience for everyone who walks through our doors

And here’s the bonus: there’s often downtime between visitors!

That makes this a great volunteer opportunity if you enjoy reading, studying, doing schoolwork, or working on a laptop. Bring a book, homework, or a project and enjoy spending a few hours surrounded by art while helping us keep the Center running smoothly.

Whether you can help regularly or just fill an occasional shift, we’d love to have you!

Interested in volunteering? Send us a message or visit https://www.pccenterforthearts.com/volunteer

Support the arts. Meet new people. Get a little work done. And help us welcome the community through the doors!

SET BUILDERS WANTED!

We’re looking for serious builders who aren’t afraid of hard work, tight deadlines, power tools, or the occasional questionable noise coming from the walls, to create the biggest immersive haunted experience in Historic Downtown Panama City.

You’ll be building the nightmares people pay to walk through—walls, facades, creepy details, terrifying environments, and whatever else the haunt throws at you.

You should be:
• Skilled with tools and basic construction
• Reliable and ready to work
• Comfortable getting dirty
• Able to solve problems fast

If you’re serious about building, creating, and helping bring a haunted vision to life, then fill out this form and we'll be in touch:

CLASS BEGINS SOON!

Learn to paint with greater freedom, feeling, and expression while discovering your own artistic voice.

Wednesdays, September 2-23 • 10am-3pm *includes one-hour lunch break*
Ages: 18+
Cost: $115 Member / $125 Not-Yet-Member

All students are responsible for their own supplies. Full list in the class description at the link in the comments below.

Sign up by Monday, August 31 in person, by phone (850.640.3670) or on our website.

At the beginning of each class, instructor June Oros will perform a demo or short talk on a specific method in portraiture-animal or people, landscape, or figurative and give tips for creating a more harmonizing painting. You will move beyond realism and learn how to paint with emotion and movement resulting in a painterly touch that will bring your subject to life.

Classes explore values, lines, texture, form, shape, composition, and color theory. Students receive personalized, hands-on instruction through a round-robin approach, with the instructor working closely with each student throughout class. June Oros fosters creativity and self-expression, from realism to abstraction.

Relax, learn something new and be inspired while refining your artistic skills. Acrylics are recommended for their fast drying properties but students are welcome to bring oils, pastels or watercolors if they prefer. This class is designed to take your art to the next level.

All levels are welcome! June adapts techniques to meet you where you are.

**How the Class Flows**:
Each class begins with two hours of demonstrations, instruction, and helpful painting tips, followed by a one-hour lunch break. The remainder of the class is open studio time—a chance to paint, experiment, and receive individual guidance and feedback from June.

Refund Policy:
All classes, workshops, and series offered by the Center for the Arts are non-refundable.

Please email us at [email protected] to be added to the waitlist for any classes.

: Last Friday night was electric!⚡️

Thank you for joining us for another wonderful celebration of our newest exhibitions. There’s something special about gathering together to experience art, share in one another’s creativity, and be reminded of the power of making something from nothing.

We hope these works sparked something in you—a new idea, a fresh perspective, or simply the inspiration to create something of your own.

Thank you to artists Richard Bonk Erica Bey and Steven Mincey for coming to show us a bit of your creative processes as cartoonists and illustrators.
