Each February and August we bring our wives, significant others, and widows together to enjoy good food and fellowship with one another!

Tonight, the City Manager for the City of Panama City: Jonathan Hayes, was gracious enough to spend the evening with us and share with us a “State of the City” update, with the main focus area of roads and commodes!

We are grateful for his leadership at City Hall and excited for the future of Panama City!

As we begin to wrap up Fall Ball at Oakland Terrace Park, we’re excited to report some of our annual contributions to some local organizations doing impactful work in our communities!

$100 to the Panama City Rescue Mission
$100 to the Empty Stocking Fund and
$100 to the general fund of the The Salvation Army Panama City
$200 to Stuff the Bus Toy Drive

These are some of our consistent community partners who do good work with a few dollars.

The success of these ball fields allows us to continue giving back to our community!

Final touches to the new flagpole at Oakland Terrace Recreational Park! The Panama City Parks, Culture and Recreation is doing a phenomenal job making our parks more welcoming through improvements like this! New playground equipment is in the pipeline for this already busy playground for the kids of Panama City and Bay County!

We have often been referred to as Panama City’s Best Kept Secret:

Nestled in the heart of Panama City is one of the oldest softball/baseball complexes in the country. Most of the time, it’s recreational adult softball, with the occasional tournament as the activity on these historic fields.

Originally built by our club in the late 1950’s, we passed ownership to Bay County in the 1980’s and now owned by the city of Panama City. As a result of our club donating the complex and the playground instead of selling it, we have been able to continue selling drinks and hotdogs through the windows of the concession stand.

Today, we are grateful to extend the profits raised ($900) from a girls softball tournament this past weekend to two organizations who are impacting 100s of people each and every week!

Every dollar spent at the ball fields stays in this community and we are thankful for the continued support of our ball families!

It’s the little things that count. What started as an idea has turned into reality.

Thankyou to the City of Panama City - Government Parks, Culture, and Recreation Department for increasing the value to Oakland Terrace.

Flower Ave, connecting 11th and 12th streets tends to have higher traffic speeds in a highly pedestrian walked area. By adding these angle parking spots for the complex, more importantly, the playground where our children congregate, the parking capacity has tripled and will help slow down the vehicle speeds in this section of road.

As civic organizations do, we often look at the brick we are laying and think to ourselves, “what is this doing?” Until one day we look back and realize this one brick helped build a house for someone else.

Civic organizations are only as strong as the service of the members/volunteers.

Tonight, we celebrate Charles Tate for his 40 years of devotion to what our Men’s Club stands for and to Jerome Moore for nearly 25 years as our head purchaser for the concession stand inventory. This is his 39th year of service.

Without men like these two, organizations like ours would not thrive. The Oakland Terrace Men’s Club thanks both of you, the community thanks you, and our future generations thank you for what you do.
