Sgt. William Tate Ingles was my friend, my coworker, my Reenactor buddy, and one the finest Marines I have ever known. May he rest in peace.

It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the final promotion of our own Gunny William Tate Ingles . He is now guarding the streets of heaven with his fellow Marines. A native floridian, combat veteran, and plank holder of the Pawnee Guard. His acerbic wit, sardonic observations and baudy campfire stories are remembered fondly by us.

Once a Marine, always a Marine!

“Marine Sergeant Major Jody Armentrout, a 20-year veteran of the United States Marine Corps, is being hailed as a hero after tackling a passenger who tried to open an exit door mid-flight on a Tokyo-to-Houston flight.

Armentrout, seated in the exit row, noticed the passenger acting suspiciously—pacing the aisle, moving between bathrooms, and eyeing the emergency exit. When the man tried to pull a strap on the door, Armentrout didn’t hesitate. He sprang into action, slamming the man to the ground and pinning him down. With the help of another passenger and zip ties from the flight attendants, Armentrout restrained the man until the plane could safely divert to Seattle, where authorities took him into custody.

Armentrout later warned that this incident is a reminder for everyone to stay alert in today’s world. His quick thinking and decisive action likely prevented a catastrophic event.” -Rated Red
