Gulf Coast Riptides Fastpitch

Last week we played our final tournament of the spring 14u season. This last year has been amazing to say the least. Others would look at these young ladies and think “This will be an easy out”, but this is farther from the truth. This group of young ladies play with grit, determination, respect and for one another. All year long more then not, these ladies were competing for bling in several gold bracket appearances. We were missing two of our core ladies for the World Series and because of our amazing org, we picked up two amazing young ladies to compete for the week!

When these young ladies played to their strengths, it was pure entertainment to watch. Coach Thomas and I would say it all the time, fundamentals over the chase and by default the wins will come. We had some huge wins as a team this year and to think 4 out of our core 10 should be playing 12u. 6 out of the 10 this That is a true testament of what these young ladies are able to accomplish.

Thank you to all of the families who were on this journey with us, this past year. Thank you to the families of Guidas, McNair, Bellamy, Anzivino, Shaw, Moyà, Jimenez, Mayo, Garcia, Ortiz, Hillman, Obert, Mellies, Hall, Gainer, and several more. Thank you for believing and trusting in the process.

As we take the fall season off, we are excited to see what these young ladies future will be. We know they will achieve amazing things. We will be stronger for the bonds created and will be back strong come the spring season.

To our amazing org Gulf Coast Riptides, thank you for the support. This last year has placed everyone on notice, that RIPTIDES are here to stay and we are ready to battle.

Sunday starts the last tournament of the season and we are ready. we hope to see you all out there, supporting this amazing group of young ladies!

Gulf Coast Riptides Fastpitch

What an amazing weekend at the USSSA Garnet & Gold tournament! Our girls were able to spend friday night, watching some Florida State Seminoles Softball. The lady Noles took the win over Notre Dame!

We got to spend Saturday and Sunday battling some amazing teams from all over. We are super proud of how this team came out to battle and left it all out on the field. We would go 1-2 In pool and 2-1 in bracket. We are super proud and the season is only beginning.

As well know, travel ball is not the cheapest sport out there. Although we try and keep fees as low as possible, the girls and families can still use a little help.

We are having a bat raffle to raise some funds for our 6 teams. Looking to give away four bats.

We will have a live drawing February 10 at our Riptides Day fundraiser.

Winners will get a $500 voucher that they will be able to take to Almega and purchase or order the bat of your choosing.

When using VENMO or PayPal, please put first and last name, along with in the comments.

If you are sending it to sponsor a certain player of ours, please put there name in the comments as well.

There is small challenge between the teams and this will help us out with tracking.

We will then write your name down and add it to the drawing bowl.

This Thursday 12/07! We will be having an open practices for any young lady and family, wanting to join an amazing core. Our young ladies come to compete and learn what it takes to take their game to the next level. We pride ourselves in being a fundamental driven, respectful and competitive team. Our team has access to an amazing indoor facility when the Florida weather likes to act up at 850 Athletics PCB. If you want to learn more, then come check us out this Thursday 12/07 from 4 - 6pm at our indoor facility at 850 Athletics PCB . If you can’t make it, we will be holding a second open practice at end of month, date and location pending.
