🤝 "'A Scout is helpful.' Those four words carry real meaning at a time like this... Once conditions are safe and officials give the all-clear, look for appropriate ways to lend a hand. All Scout service must follow youth protection and safety requirements; leave hazardous work to trained professionals.

Our council is growing, and every act of kindness shows our community what Scouting stands for. We are here, we care, and we are ready to serve. Sometimes the most meaningful service is simply showing up for someone who needs us.

Please be careful, stay connected, reach out if you need help, and look after one another. The events can wait. Our people come first."

🦅 Congratulations to our newest Eagle Scout, Lilly! Lilly's family has been active in Scouting for many years, and as she pointed out in her Eagle Board of Review, she technically went on her first Scout campout just a few months before she was born!

Lilly was a Cub Scout when Scouting’s older youth program opened to girls, allowing them to earn the rank of Eagle Scout. She went on to earn an impressive 55 Merit Badges and was chosen to be a member of Scouting's Honor Society, the Order.of the Arrow. Lilly attends Lynn Haven Methodist Church and hopes to become an animator and one day, like her mother, a Scoutmaster.

Lilly’s Eagle project benefitted the The Arc of The Bay / St. Andrew Bay Center Residence Home, a six-bedroom residential group home in the City of Lynn Haven that supports individuals with unique abilities and special needs. Lilly planned and lead the building of two swing benches and a landscaping installation, giving residents a beautiful space to spend time and build relationships, especially with visiting family members.

Congratulations, Lilly, you are a credit to the Scouting program!

Tuesdays with Troop 321 Lynn Haven are the best days!

This week, our Boys' Troop got to meet the Cub Scouts who will be joining them in the spring, and the Cubs got to see a Troop meeting in all its messy, whacky, Scout-led glory. We can't wait for these Cubs to bridge over and become part of our troop!

A troop and its patrols offer a built-in way to make friends in Scouts. Getting those friendships started might feel a little awkward at first, but good news! You already have a common interest - Scouting! - which is a great jumping-off point for starting friendships. The bonds of friendship are strengthened through time spent together at campouts, meetings, and events, having fun and learning new things together.

🩹 Every week, our Scouts repeat the Scout Oath, in which they promise "to help other people at all times."

This week, they donated boxes of hygiene items, shoes, and clothing to Bay County students in need, which will be distributed by the Bay Education Foundation.

Thank you to Kirkland Insurance Agency, Inc. for serving as one of the donation drop-off sites for the clothing drive! If you're interested in participating as well, check out the link in the comments for more information.

👀 See one of our Scouters out at Lowe's or Walmart? Stop by and say hello - they're earning their way to Scouting adventures like Family Camp and Summer Camp!

Ryker from our Troop and Emmalyn from our Pack put in some hard work on Saturday. We appreciate the support of our community so much! Popcorn sales and donations provide critical funding while teaching Scouts valuable life and business skills. Thank you for helping our Scouts reach their goals!

And congratulations to Emmalyn and Braxton for getting picked in this week's Treasure Chest drawing - go Cub Scout Pack 321 - Lynn Haven ❤️

Camping is at the heart of Scouts BSA.

During Troop 321's monthly camping trips, Scouts learn practical outdoor skills including:

⛺ Campsite setup & tent camping
🎒 Packing and proper gear
🍳 Outdoor cooking & meal planning
🗺️ Navigation
🌦️ Weather preparedness & first aid
🌲 Leave No Trace & conservation
👥 Patrol planning & teamwork

Camping builds confidence, independence, leadership, and outdoor skills that last a lifetime.

⚜️ Developing today's youth to become tomorrow's leaders.
