To all on the Blue Water Blues page. It was 5 years ago we tried something new for the area by starting the Blue Water Blues Society. It went off with a bang and great support until the Covid thing. We were able to regroup somewhat and keep going for a while.
As time went on it became harder and harder to fill the positions of responsibility needed to keep the project going. Sorry to say but December 2024 we had to call it quits.
Want to thank all those who showed an interest and gave what support they could. As we had to end it I’ve decided to post a breakdown of the funds that was left in the account.
As of December 2024 we had a total of $207.87 in our account. We donated $137.87 to the Gulf Jazz Society. $52.50 for Florida DOR to close the business and receive certified copies of the paperwork. Also, $7.50 for postage and misc to file our final Tax Return. That left $10.00 to close out the account.
Again I want to thank all those who did what they could to help. Hopefully in the future we may be able to try something like this again. I see no reason to close out the Facebook section. This way we call all still stay in touch. Take care all.
