Interested in attending another NON-Reunion? Never had the chance to attend although you bought the Tshirt and watched on FB? Soooo….. Let’s put
feelers out there to see how strong of an interest there is for another! So much has happened between hurricanes and COVID. We need to see our peeps! I’d like to start planning for next summer! Chime in and let’s get a feel for the need to coordinate another NON! ❤️❤️❤️

For those unaware of what a NON is, it’s an event where anyone and everyone that schooled in PC, PCB and/or worked the beaches in the 70’s and 80’s, get together in a casual atmosphere in our flip flops on the World’s Most Beautiful Beaches! The weekend’s agenda includes laughter, music, food, fun and cocktails… don’t forget the stories and pics of cruising the beach and working the summers at the many landmark businesses!

Hello PCB NON Lovers! Thinking about a 2020 Summer event? Me too!

Why aren’t we doing it this year? After many discussions with residents, business owners and our usual group of sponsors and supporters, there’s still too much hardship in the area resulting from Hurricane Michael. Most are still trying to recover, rentals are few and sky high, discounts are not offered, businesses are finding it hard to staff and the financial burdens have been heavy on the locals. Many have had to relocate outside of the area temporarily and perm. Although some have recovered, far too many have not.

As much as we’d like to hold the event and bask in the company of our fellow peeps, it simply isn’t feasible this year. Let’s get through the season and see how progressive the recovery is at that point. We will reassess and make that determination for a 2020 PCB NON. In the mean time, we send love, prayers, good vibes and all that reinforces the healing process!

Keep on gathering in groups to keep that connection! Nothing replaces the power of the face to face, hugs, laughter and friendships - new, old and rekindled! Have a SPECTACULAR SUMMER!!! ❤️

Tuck the worries of the world behind you and join us! Mini-Non time tomorrow! A very unstructured version is happening! Who needs structure anyway?! We always have a blast every year! So... Here we go... if you want to hang out at Schooners and enjoy some great food and fun in the sun to kick off your day... there are a lot of people going to be at the Beach Portion at Schooners. :) Dinner at Pineapple Willy's and hop over to hang with the band - True Soul is playing and it's a Prince Tribute! Most are going to this portion!!! Come hang out! If you haven't heard this band, you're in for a treat! They are AWESOME!!! It's going to be a blast! Drinks, Laughter, Friends, Food, Music, Laughter, Flip Flops, Dancing... and lots of friends from the past! EVERYONE is welcome! If you went to school in the area at any portion of the 70's & 80's, Bay, Mosley, Rutherford...or worked the beaches, maybe you vacationed here annually with your family... Maybe you've lived here so long you feel like you belong. Bring your family if you'd like. Yes, your offspring is welcome! How bizarre that they are in their 20's and 30's now? They love music of this era too! See people you haven't seen in decades! Or maybe since the last NON? LOL! This year's major event had been postponed... however, there were far too many people that still wanted to get together... so here we go! Let's just gather and have a blast!

Dress: Summer Comfy! Casual! Flip Flops, Shorts!
Time: Schooners 10:30am until your sunscreen wears off... Lunch!
Dinner: Pineapple Willy's - Restaurant - 6:30pm
Band: Pineapple Willy's - Live Band/True Soul - Prince Tribute

Sad news my friends. The unfortunate loss of multiple individuals very close and dear, has forced me to postpone the PCB NON. An event this size takes a lot of prep and the planning had to be put on hold. Admittedly, the weight has been heavy and I've really only focused on work. Thank you for understanding and yes, this is why I've been hiding under a rock lately.

In the meantime... A handful of us thought it would be great to get together anyhow, since there are some that come into town and count on seeing each other each summer! So, if you don't mind a less structured gathering ... And you really want to hang out with whoever shows up for great food, drinks and laughter... And of course a little dancing... Then let's get together on Saturday, August 6th! Let's have a mini! Beach lounging behind Schooners during the day and location for the evening to be named. Are you in?

The Panama City Beach City Council is seriously considering a Ban on 10 x 10 tents on the sandy beach from Memorial Day-Labor Day even during the DAYTIME Tents are already currently Banned at night. Looks like Boice Canen is back on fb. BEWARE!!! Con artist with an unexpected aggressive and unpredictable personality. He's big time bad news! He gets booted off fb and comes back. Been known to con money from people. Went off the deep end one year when I wouldn't hire him to sing with the band at an event. Claims to be a Bay graduate. NOT! Just be careful if he messages or friends you!!!

T-Shirts for the NON have are ready and inventoried! Come out and grab yours! On Sale for $10! If you've worn yours out, come get another! You can pick up at the beach portion of the event on Saturday, behind Spinnaker at the Cantina! You can always do like I did... take it to Sean Marley at Pier Park on the weekends where he does air-brushing! He is the original graphics artist and knows the colors that all of these icons should be! He does fantastic work!!! These are high quality Tshirts and Tank Tops!!! This price is only good for Saturday, August 1st at the Spinnaker from 10:30-3pm, while they last!

Side Note: The first year we decided to hold this event, I got with Sean Marley via phone and email and collaborated to design this NON Logo for Tshirts to be made! To extract what was in my head as only an idea, and Sean to bring it to life in this amazing piece of art... AMAZING!!! You'd think we grew up here or something?! lol!! He wouldn't let me pay him for his time, but suggested I donate to one of the charities I work for. So... I kept the money in Bay County, (I was living in Houston at that time.) and contacted Chris Moates to donate the money on Sean's behalf for the Toys for Kids Golf Tournament. Well, Sean wouldn't put his name on it, he had me list it as Petticoat Junction Amusement Park. This was in honor of the landmark that used to be here and many of us worked the summers as a kid! I sold and shipped out 750 t-shirts prior to the event even happening!
What a talent! What a class act!

Two more days and then we wake up to hundreds and hundreds of people gathering on the beach to relax, laugh, music, food, ice cold drinks, stories of the good old days, music of the 70's and 80's, Tshirts logo'd from that era, games, prizes, old friendships and new ones and memories to last a lifetime!!!

This flyer shows all 3 portions of the day. The beach portion is a great start! Bring your goodies and lay in the sun behind Spinnaker, or join us up under the shade of the backside of Spinnaker. There are a few canopies, if you want relief from the direct sun, but want to stick your toes in the sand. Spinnaker has a fantastic menu and I love the fish tacos!! ;) there's a bouncy house going up for the kids. It's casual! Some wear bathing suits, some of us are in shorts and Tshirts. We will run a few rounds of Tug-of-War and some games on the deck! There are lots of Sponsors that have provided prizes! At 3pm everyone runs to shower and head to Runaway Island!

Part 2: 5pm-9pm head to Runaway Island on Front Beach Road! Tell them you're heading upstairs to the NON! Live Band, 2 bars set up, the top floor is big and split in 2 with half air conditioned. The music is piped in at a lower volume so you can carry on a conversation and get relief from the heat! Both sides are lined with tables so you can grab one and have a sit down dinner or order finger food and wander around to see people. If you already have dinner plans, come join us after and grab a cocktail and listen to the music. There's a dance floor if the mood strikes you and we'll have to scoot you aside to play a few games! This year we have different games than in the past, so grab your rib cage! It's going to be sore from laughter!! Yes your family and friends are invited to join us!

Part 3: At 9pm we transition back over to Spinnaker! The Cover Charge is waived if you're with the NON! You have to leave the kids at home with a sitter for this part. DJ over the dance floor and a fantastic live band on the main stage! Classic Rock and music of the 70's & 80's is featured all evening! Dance and laugh at others dancing! We don't mind! Lol! If you couldn't make it out to hang with us during the day, join us at this portion! We usually all start out all around the dance floor and VIP area and infiltrate the main stage area! Join us!!

Remember, there are no fees for this event, just pay your tab at each venue! Don't forget to take care of the staff... That was once us! ;)
