Today, the Alligator Point / Saint Teresa Volunteer Fire Department pauses to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice is the reason we enjoy the freedoms we have today, and we are forever grateful.

As we spend time with family and friends this weekend, let us never forget the true meaning of Memorial Day and those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

From all of us at APSTVFD, thank you to our fallen heroes, our veterans, and all who continue to serve. β€οΈπŸ€πŸ’™πŸš’

Last night members of the Alligator Point / Saint Teresa Volunteer Fire Department spent the evening sharpening our auto extrication skills with a focus on vehicle stabilization and patient access. Crews utilized an array of equipment carried on our apparatus to safely remove glass, doors, and ultimately the roof during training scenarios.

Training like this helps ensure we are prepared to serve our community when seconds matter most.

A very special thank you to Tim Marshall and Tom Mihalich with Quality Towing and Recovery for helping make this training possible. We truly appreciate the support and partnership!

The Alligator Point / Saint Teresa Volunteer Fire Department is proud to announce that we are now officially an American Red Cross Authorized Training Center.

This means our department is now approved to provide nationally recognized training courses through the American Red Cross, including CPR, AED, Basic Life Support (BLS), First Aid, and emergency medical response related programs. Becoming an Authorized Training Center allows us to provide high-quality, standardized training directly within our community while helping ensure our responders, local residents, businesses, and surrounding agencies have access to lifesaving education and certifications.

This is a major step forward for our department as we continue expanding training opportunities, strengthening emergency preparedness, and investing in the safety of both our responders and the community we proudly serve.
