Simba continues to thrive! He is gaining some muscle, and new fluffy hair is slowly growing back from his previous shave down. He no longer walks with a limp even after being taken off his pain meds. He continues to get lots of TLC and good nutrition.
We're really proud of this guy for not losing hope after all he's been through in his ~14 years. He'll spend the rest of his time here in a comfy bed with a full belly and plenty of love ❤

It's been a long time since Minnie has been free to come and go as she pleases. She's back on the prowl on Kitchell Street! Minnie never did grow to like people while she was with us, so we spayed and returned her to the spot where she was trapped. We'll be able to keep an eye on her when she pops in to eat!

Check out Elmer and his FIV+ friends at the Forever Home Feline Ranch! Everyone pictured is adoptable!
Don't let the fact that they're FIV+ scare you, before starting the PFCC I (Sarah Donna) honestly didn't know much about FIV. The positive cats we've trapped so far have taught me a lot personally. I got to find out that FIV isn't as a sad and miserable as I thought (do these cats look like they're suffering? No! 😂)
I had no idea that a cat with FIV could live a normal lifespan, or that FIV alone doesn't have any clinical symptoms. I encourage everyone, even if you can't adopt, go out and socialize with this bunch for a bit! They'd love it ❤

A big thank you to everyone who has donated cat food to the PFCC! We recently brought out a shipment to the fairground cats, and as you can see they're very pleased! ❤

Theodore, and all 4 of Minnie's kittens are now at the Humane Society of Decatur and Macon County! We can't thank them enough for the help they've given us, finding space for these 5 little ones. For anyone interested in adopting, keep your eyes peeled in the near future!

Dennis the Menace asks everyone who reads this to please make a donation to the Pana Feral Cat Coalition, so that he and other feral cats can be trapped and neutered!
Dennis resides on Kitchell Street and is an especially aggressive tom cat. He could benefit greatly from sterilization!
If you are unable to make a monetary donation, the PFCC can always use dry/wet kitten/cat food, potty pads, towels, blankets, and litter! All donations can be brought to Pana Animal Hospital, just let them know it's for us! 😊

Simba (14 year old trappee from Patton Street) and Theodore (dumped in the GSI parking lot) have been living in the same foster home for almost a week, and they're finally starting to warm up to one another! Simba is your classic grumpy old man, and Theo is your typical button pusher. 😉 We think Simba will still be glad to see Theo head to the Humane Society of Decatur and Macon County in the near future!

Take a look at handsome Elmer, adoptable through the Forever Home Feline Ranch! He recently had a stay at a vet clinic after being diagnosed with a UTI. We're so thankful for the commitment the FHFR has to the cats in their care. When they say they will take care of a cat for life or until it's adopted, they mean it.
To learn more about the FHFR or to find out how to donate, visit their page or go to felineranch.org!
