Tis that time of year! Little Ireland is decked out in its Irish finery. A salute to one of Pana's proudest Irishmen, my father-in-law, Thomas J. Phillips (God rest his soul!). His pride in his Irish heritage was equally matched as his pride in Pana. Because of him, Pana has this landmark to commemorate its rich railroad history. Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! "Erin go bragh!"

Saturday is the day! Be at the Pana Interlocker Tower tomorrow between 10 AM and 3 PM for our annual Christmas at the Tower. Corner of Main and Oak Streets in Pana, just a block west of McDonald's. The Butch Morez Union Pacific caboose will be open and inside the tower you will find Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - all free of charge. And on the rails, the Polar Express and a new edition this year, our Latonis Train Village Christmas train! Attached are some preview videos. Be sure to register to win an HO scale Union Pacific train set to be given away at the end of the open house. Please come by - we'd love to see you!

In case you missed the announcement yesterday, Christmas at the Tower is cancelled today and is rescheduled for Saturday, December 20, 10 AM to 3 PM. Stay warm and see you next Saturday.

Okay folks. With the impending forecast for this weekend, we are going to postpone Christmas at the Tower until NEXT Saturday, Dec. 20. Same hours 10 AM until 3 PM. Even waiting until Sunday wouldn't be good because of the cold temperature. So, next Saturday, Dec. 20 for Christmas at the Tower. And with the extended forecast, we'll be running around in shorts and tank tops! Please share!

Don't let this weather or the cold stop you from visiting the Pana Railroad Tower on Saturday between 10 AM and 3 PM. We'll have the parking area plowed and sidewalks cleared. Sure, it may be a bit cold, but the tower is heated and we'll try to take the chill off in the caboose. Warm up with hot chocolate and Kirk's famous Christmas cookies. And we'll be giving an electric train away as well. In addition to the Polar Express running, here's a sneak peek at a new attraction! Please join us and Merry Christmas 🎄!

Christmas at the Tower will be Saturday, Dec. 13, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Pana Interlocker Tower, corner of Oak and Main Streets in Pana, 2 blocks west of McDonald's. Cookies and hot chocolate will be available and tours of the Butch Morez Union Pacific caboose during the day. The Polar Express will be running on the model train tracks inside the tower. Also, register to win this HO scale electric train set to be given away at the end of the open house. Public is welcome to attend!

A very Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! The tower is decked out in its holiday attire. Getting ready for our Christmas Open House on Saturday, December 13.
