Just 2 weeks until the 5th annual Halloween at the Railroad Tower on Halloween, Saturday, Oct. 31. Hours are 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. We'll have hot dogs and chips available at 5:00 p.m. There will be punch, Halloween cookies, candy and barrel train rides. Tours of the caboose will be available and the model trains will be running inside the tower through the Halloween village. Everything is free of charge. It's our way of saying "thank you" to the Pana community for your support during the renovation of the caboose and tower! Everyone is welcome. Latonis Train Village is located at the corner of Oak and Main Streets in Pana, just a block west of McDonald's.

Hardy seems like 2 years have past since you finished your final project at the railroad tower. I can never forget the work and sweat you did helping me along to restore the tower and grounds. Still missing you, brother !❤️

It's Flag Day! The tower grounds are decked out in red, white and blue in honor of the day and the impending July Fourth celebration of our 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence!

Tis that time of year! Little Ireland is decked out in its Irish finery. A salute to one of Pana's proudest Irishmen, my father-in-law, Thomas J. Phillips (God rest his soul!). His pride in his Irish heritage was equally matched as his pride in Pana. Because of him, Pana has this landmark to commemorate its rich railroad history. Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! "Erin go bragh!"

What a great day and great turnout for Christmas at the Tower today! We appreciate everyone who attended. The winner of the HO train set is Gavyn Presnell.

Saturday is the day! Be at the Pana Interlocker Tower tomorrow between 10 AM and 3 PM for our annual Christmas at the Tower. Corner of Main and Oak Streets in Pana, just a block west of McDonald's. The Butch Morez Union Pacific caboose will be open and inside the tower you will find Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - all free of charge. And on the rails, the Polar Express and a new edition this year, our Latonis Train Village Christmas train! Attached are some preview videos. Be sure to register to win an HO scale Union Pacific train set to be given away at the end of the open house. Please come by - we'd love to see you!

In case you missed the announcement yesterday, Christmas at the Tower is cancelled today and is rescheduled for Saturday, December 20, 10 AM to 3 PM. Stay warm and see you next Saturday.
