This is a tough week for us as the date of Barrett’s passing comes and goes. While everyone is busy wrapping up summer and starting school, we remember all our special moments with Barrett. We remember the worst day of our lives, but also a day that changed the way people thought about mental health. Thank you to everyone who has reached out to us this week and shown us so much love. It is truly because of God’s grace, your prayers, and the love we have for Barrett that we are able to continue living without him here with us.
Let this week be a reminder that if the decision to no longer live is still a thought that crosses your mind, do not succumb to it. Those thoughts are wrong about you. You matter and you deserve to live. Never be afraid to share how you feel and ask for help. If the pain you feel is too much to bear, let God help you, let someone else bear it with you or for you. Too often people will hide behind their smile, just like Barrett did, while your brain lies and tells you life is not worth living but it is. The people who love you will help you. If you or someone you know needs help, speak up💙🙏
We love you forever, Barrett.
We think of you and feel you, every.single.day.🐝
