GrayCares Living at Home, Inc. GrayCares Living at Home, Inc. is a nonprofit organization providing nonmedical, independent living s We provide a voucher to pay for the transportation.

utilizes volunteers to provide nonmedical, independent living services for people ages 65 and older in Pampa and Lefors. Services provided include: local transportation, home and telephone visitation, minor home repairs and maintenance, changing light bulbs and batteries, taking out trash, occasional light housekeeping, rake leaves, clean flower beds, snow removal, pet visits, and wheelchair ramps. GrayCares partners with the Panhandle Transit to provide out-of-town transportation. Age is the only determining factor for receiving services from GrayCares. Volunteers are always needed and welcomed. All volunteers complete an application and are local background screened. GrayCares has been providing services for seven years.

GrayCares and Texas Ramp Project did it again! 2-year old Rizzo Salazar recently received a customized wheelchair from Rae of Sunshine and she needed a ramp to access her home. Many thanks to Henry Wyckoff with Texas Ramp Project along with his volunteers from Canyon, Amarillo Downtown Lions Club, and Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church for coming to Pampa and spending their Saturday to help build the 44’ ramp. Rizzo’s dad, Josh, and his friends, Kevon Horst, Brian L’esperance, Rhett Skinner and Ed Ferrell volunteered as well. What a blessing to help this precious girl! She happily “supervised” the entire project from the porch!

We built SEVEN ramps in Pampa Saturday! Many thanks to volunteers from Mortenson, Resound, and Al Ferguson (Pampa) as well as The Church at Quail Creek, Amarillo Downtown Lions Club, Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, Amarillo Lifewise Academy, and Pantex (Amarillo) for giving your time to help give independence to our older neighbors. What a blessing it is for GrayCares to partner with Henry and Dinah Wyckoff and Texas Ramp Project to make this happen! Because of donations from our generous donors, GrayCares was able to fund four of the seven ramps! THANK YOU for giving back to your community and making a difference!

We will be partnering with Texas Ramp Project on Saturday, August 1st, to build 6 ramps in Pampa! How exciting to be able to provide help to our older neighbors to live independently at home!!

It’s Volunteer Appreciation month and we want to recognize our amazing volunteers for this quarter. We provide transportation anywhere in town to our neighbors who are over 65 and we could not do what we do without these volunteers.
