As our time in Iztapalapa comes to a close, we reflect on a very special day. Sunrise service at 6:00 this morning. Breakfast with our Ebenezer church family. The regular service at noon with 6 baptisms. And heartfelt goodbyes with our Ebenezer friends. A beautiful day to celebrate the resurrection!
He is risen! He is risen indeed!

We had the opportunity to worship with the folks of the mission in Santa Cruz. Pastor Roberto preached from Mark 14. After the message we had the opportunity to partake of the Lords Supper with them. Several people were in attendance tonight. Please pray for our Good Friday service tomorrow afternoon at 3:00. This is an special service for the people of Mexico.

We had another day of what our pastor calls everyday discipleship - sharing the gospel and the faithfulness of the Lord in every day life. We spent the morning visiting with some friends we did not expect to see. We had lunch and a time of fellowship getting to know a sweet family new to us and to the church. We then spent the evening with Pastor Roberto in the school he and his wife have started, for a time of testimony, worship and fellowship. It has been a full day. It has been a good day.

Today we were able to visit in two homes. Lunch with a sister from Eben-Ezer and her extended family. We were too busy living in the moment to get pictures. Later this evening we had coffee and a time of sharing and singing with families from the Santa Cruz mission.

Pastor Hiram and I made a home visit tonight and the homeowner invited some neighbors over for a devotional. After Hiram spoke, 2 ladies and a young boy accepted Christ. Seems like the Holy Spirit is already at work. Looks like it’s going to be a good week. Continue to pray for God to move.

We spent Palm Sunday with our brothers and sisters at Eben-Ezer this morning with their newly raised roof. Russ spoke about Christ’s triumphal entry. This evening we spent time with our brothers and sisters at Santa Cruz mission at their new location. It was good to see our old friends and too meet new ones. Pray as we make connections and share the gospel in homes this week.

Please pray for Susan and I as we leave in the morning to return to Mexico City and our partner church Ebenezer Baptist for Holy Week. Pray for the services this Sunday. The 3:00 Good Friday service, and Easter Sunday sunrise and regular service. Throughout the week we hope to have conversations in homes of people in the neighborhood and share the gospel.

It was a really great honor to visit and tour the IMB headquarters today in Richmond, Virginia. After working alongside IMB missionaries for the last 23 years it was exciting see where they were commissioned and sent out to the nations.

We want to wish a happy 40th anniversary to our partner church EBNCR Iglesia Christiana Bautista Eben Ezer de Iztapalapa. It is an honor to serve alongside these wonderful brothers and sisters. What a transformation from then to now. Praise the Lord!

Vacation Bible School officially ended last night with the performance of Puro Corazón. The children and adults did a wonderful job and the church was packed with parents.
Thank you Ebenezer Baptist for allowing us to help and be a part of VBS. Thank you for feeding us, housing us, and most of all loving us.
