It’s hard to believe it was our last day of VBS Russ shared the gospel with kids while Lori and Susan helped kids make futbol fields with the Bible verses from the week. The children heard about Joshua’s final message to the people. The children will give a final program for their parents to share what they have learned this week on Sunday. We are tired but happy campers. We are grateful for the hospitality we have received from all our sisters and brothers this week. Gracias a Dios!

There were 74 kids at VBS! Today we learned about when God made the sun stand still. Just one more day! Please pray especially for the older kids tomorrow as they have the gospel presented to them during mission time.

Wednesday- it’s hard to believe we are halfway through the week. This morning Lori told the story of Joshua and the army of the Lord going before the people of Israel, while Susan and Russ marched around the walls of Jericho. Please continue to pray as we lay kindling around the hearts of children that will spark their hearts to know Jesus.

Day 2 of Bible School is in the books. We had 67 kids today! From registration to crafts to missions to music, sports and theatre the story of Joshua continued. We had spies in missions and training to win in sports. Through it all the ladies in the kitchen kept us all energized with good food.

Today was the the first day of Vacation Bible school at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Iztapalapa, Mexico City. The children are learning to train to win like Josue’(Joshua). 56 students of all ages attended today we are off to great start!

It’s time again for Leave the Yard to return to Mexico City and our partner church, Ebenezer Baptist. Our team of 3 will help with Vacation Bible School. Please pray for many children to come and hear the story of Joshua. Please pray that each child will see and hear Jesus in all that we say and do.

As our time in Iztapalapa comes to a close, we reflect on a very special day. Sunrise service at 6:00 this morning. Breakfast with our Ebenezer church family. The regular service at noon with 6 baptisms. And heartfelt goodbyes with our Ebenezer friends. A beautiful day to celebrate the resurrection!
He is risen! He is risen indeed!

We had the opportunity to worship with the folks of the mission in Santa Cruz. Pastor Roberto preached from Mark 14. After the message we had the opportunity to partake of the Lords Supper with them. Several people were in attendance tonight. Please pray for our Good Friday service tomorrow afternoon at 3:00. This is an special service for the people of Mexico.
