Paida came into our family in 2017 as a bonus daughter. She lived with her mother but stayed with us often and became very close to our girls. As we continued spending time with Paida and her mother we grew closer and closer.

In 2024, when Paida was 20 years old, her mother passed away from kidney failure, making Paida an orphan. As you can imagine, this was a tough time. Immediately we rushed to her side. The extended family saw this and knew of us through Paida's mom as her second family, and they agreed that Paida is our daughter now and no longer a bonus kid. It was Paida's wish as well.

We have lived together through many tough seasons, she experienced mission life with us in the city and in the village, she lived in the tent and the shop with us, through many good and bad times she has been in every way one of us.

Her studies are very important to her and she wants to pursue further education. As our daughter we want her to have the same opportunities that our bio kids will have.

We are confident that this is God's plan for her life. We have to be confident in this as it will take a miracle from Him for it to come about. But we believe He will do it!

Paida is a beautiful soul. Everyone who meets her, loves her. She loves the Lord and desires to grow deeper in Him. This is evident to everyone who meets her. She is a light on a cloudy day with a perfect smile that brings joy to everyone. Never sees the negative in a person before the positive. She is clever, witty, cheeky, kind, a servant, strong, willing, ready, and so loving.

Hey y'all! Jarred and Jadyn are a week into their travels and received such a thoughtful gift from a very special person, Aunt Mel, and I gotta tell you its life saving for the journey they have between now and when they arrive back to OR Tambo South Africa International Airport 🇿🇦

We truly appreciate any extra help we get like this. The budget gets really tight when the family is split up on two continents and the extra costs of travel foods/drinks/fuel/car rentals/hotels etc that come along with trips like this are added on top of the normal needs in South Africa. We are so thankful for Aunt Mel and others who come along to offset these costs. If you would like to do something specific to help with their ground costs reach out to us!

Good day y'all! We are 5 days and 4 states into this 6 week USA update road trip and and already so blessed by the love and support we have received! As we have said before, we always get asked about our greatest needs. While the first answer has been and always will be prayer I want to share some physical needs that you can be praying with us for.

The first is Paida's tuition. Paida is our daughter and is wanting to pursue an education with her sister, Jadyn. Because she is a foreigner she needs a visa to study in the USA which we can only secure once we can show full tuition responsibility is secured. In short we need to pay for her education upfront to get her visa process started.

It is a large sum of money for us but we know and are convinced that this is priority number one at this time. We have halted other projects until this need is met. Paida has met all requirements to this point and would be greatly encouraged to see this process completed. Please share her story as you pray for her and for us.

A message to our dear Ministry Partners from our man in India:

Greetings to you in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We trust that you and your families are doing well by God’s grace. We sincerely thank you for your continued prayers, love, and faithful support. Because of your partnership, we are witnessing the Lord do wonderful things here in India.

As we reflect on the past few months (January to April 2026), our hearts are filled with gratitude for God’s faithfulness.

“Not to us, Lord, not to us but to Your name be the glory, because of Your love and faithfulness.” (Psalm 115:1)

1. Bible School Ministry

We thank God for the precious work He is doing through our Bible School. All our students have been richly blessed through your teachings. They are growing strong in the Word and actively doing wonderful ministry in their respective areas.

As this is a special year, our students are completing their four-year training, and we are prayerfully looking forward to their graduation.

“The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.” (Matthew 9:37)

2. Orphan Children Ministry

By God’s grace and through your support, we are able to feed our children every day, help them in their studies, and draw them closer to God. We see them growing both physically and spiritually.

“Let the little children come to me…” (Matthew 19:14)

3. Tribal Pastors Ministry

We have been consistently visiting our tribal pastors, encouraging them and their families through the Word of God and practical support. These times of fellowship are strengthening them as they serve in challenging and remote areas.

“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up.” (1 Thessalonians 5:11)

4. Church Ministry

Our churches are being strengthened day by day and drawing closer to Jesus. We rejoice to share that more than 20 people have been baptized across our ministry-partnering churches. The Lord continues to add souls to His Kingdom.

“And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.” (Acts 2:47)

5. VBS Teachers Training Program

We recently conducted a “Taking Christ Everywhere” Teachers Training Program, where more than 30 teachers from 15 villages participated. They were equipped, encouraged, and provided with materials for Vacation Bible School.

These teachers are now eagerly returning to their villages to minister to children this summer. We request your prayers for these VBS programs—that many children will experience the love of Christ and that we may be able to support them effectively.

“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” (Mark 16:15)

6. Church Building Update & Prayer Request

We would also like to share an important update regarding our church building.

As you are aware, this building has been a place of worship for our congregation. Over time, due to structural weaknesses—including existing cracks and recurring water accumulation during heavy rains (sometimes up to waist level)—the condition of the building had become fragile.

Recently, due to heavy winds and cyclone conditions, the structure collapsed. By God’s grace, no one was harmed, and we thank Him for His protection.

Following this, we cleared the site and raised the land level significantly due to ongoing waterlogging issues. This required filling the area with soil (approximately 200tractor loads) to prepared it for future construction.
Thanks for your help and support for that project

At present, we are going to arrange temporary shelter to continue our worship services. We need your support for that for wall and Iron beem and hut 🛖

We humbly request your prayers for this situation—that the Lord will provide wisdom, direction, and resources to build a safe and permanent church building for His glory. And hostel rooms for kids and bible school

“Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.” (Psalm 127:1)

Our bonus daughter, Paida, is preparing herself to go the Central Baptist College in Conway Arkansas later this year. Due to her being a foreign student she doesnt qualify for scholarships or grants normally available to American students.

She also must secure a study visa before she can begin this journey into further education. We need to show $25,000 (Full tuition amount) in order to finalize her acceptance and get her visa paperwork.

Please pray with us for this need and, if so lead by God, donate towards covering her tuition. Your prayer and support of Paida and her goal of obtaining her degree are greatly appreciated.

A couple weeks ago, we had a group come for children church teacher training. It was such a wonderful time of learning and fellowship. At the end we were able to equip them with the bible story cloth and teaching booklet along with color pages to duplicate for each lesson.
Three churches were represented.
It was a special day to encourage these leaders and equip them with teaching aids I love to use in rural areas. This simple tool is so effective especially in these areas where access to materials and supplies is limited.

Well today it finally happened. The bakkie gave up on us. After replacing almost the whole front end this week the right wheel bearing gave out on Saturday and left us afoot for church today. We spread the word and were able to still have a good turn out of the adults teens and kids from this side of the river join us here at home for a service while members in the other villages also met together for worship and prayer together. Prayerfully we will get the bakkie back on the road this week. Even in the midst of challenges that many could have turned into excuses, God shows that this small church is growing and hungry for Him.
