🚨 We Need Your Help! 🚨

Participation in this year's WSAVT Salary Survey is currently around 400 responses. In previous years, participation exceeded 600 responses, and we would love to reach that level again.

If you are currently working in the veterinary field in any capacity, please take 10 minutes to complete this brief, anonymous survey.
The information collected is vital to understanding the current employment landscape for veterinary professionals in Washington State and helps us better advocate for and support our profession.

Dear Member,

Last month, the Board presented the updated bylaws to the membership, and we are pleased to share that they were approved. With this completed, we are now accepting nominations for Executive Officer positions, including President-Elect and Secretary. (The Treasurer position will be elected during odd-numbered years, while the Secretary position will be elected during even-numbered years.)

Executive Officer Positions
President-Elect (Estimated 1–2 hours per week)
If you are looking to become more involved at the state level and have experience working with a board, the President-Elect position may be a great fit for you. This is a three-year commitment, as the individual elected will serve sequentially as President-Elect, President, and Past President. The President-Elect works closely with the President to prepare for leadership in the upcoming year.

Responsibilities include:
Serving as the NAVTA Representative
Assisting with committee oversight alongside
Attending Executive Board meetings Participating in strategic planning Supporting additional projects assigned by the Executive Board

Secretary (Estimated 2–3 hours per week)
If you are organized and interested in helping keep WSAVT moving forward, we encourage you to consider the Secretary position. This is a two-year commitment.

Responsibilities include:
Recording and maintaining meeting minutes
Conducting general correspondence for the Association and Executive Board
Preserving association records, letters, and transactions for two years
Maintaining permanent copies of newsletters
Keeping election records for one year

Committee Opportunities
We are also seeking members interested in serving on the following committees:
Finance Committee
Membership Committee
Nominations & Elections Committee
Governance / Bylaws Committee
Continuing Education / Programs Committee
