Our Final Top Scholarship Recipient is...
Jojo Dorroh, who was awarded a $900 scholarship.
He has been a huge help to the Boosters program and a leader of the FFA.
Jojo has been involved in the FFA organization all 4 years of high school serving as a chapter officer, raising livestock for the fair competing and speaking contests and completing over 100 hours of community service. This fall Jojo plans to attend Butte College where he will complete his associate's degree before applying to the California Highway Patrol academy. Congrats, Jojo!

Next up....
Meredith Watt is our second $500 scholarship recipient. Meredith has poured her time and effort into keeping up her grades, competing on sports teams and joining several different clubs including FFA. Meredith has served as chapter officer, competed on several CDE teams and started her own Strawberry Business. This fall, Meredith plans to attend Colorado School of Mines to obtain her Bachelor's degree in Geological Engineering with a minor in Hydrology. Congrats, Meredith!

First Up.... Richard Greenwood
Richard was awarded a $500 scholarship. Richard has been involved in several different clubs and sports while attending Foothill. In FFA, Richard has raised market lambs, competed in creed speaking, floral contests and attended several leadership conferences. This fall Richard plans to attend Shasta College to start his college career in Agriculture Engineering. We wish you the best of luck, Richard!

Congrats 🎉 to all of the Foothill FFA, Palo Cedro Project Completers in the Class of 2026!!
We are proud of all of you and all of the amazing Seniors that graduated in May!
We were honored to help sponsor the cords/sashes again this year and award 7️⃣ scholarships to some very impressive applicants.
We will be recognizing our top 3️⃣ recipients over the next few days!!

The START of the New School Year is right around the corner 👀
That being said we are starting off with our Boosters Meeting NEXT Tuesday, Aug 4th.
Meeting will be held in the Foothill FFA, Palo Cedro barn at 5:30pm!
This will be our first meeting of the school year. Anyone interested in joining or helping with the boosters program is welcome to attend and see what we are all about!!! Hope to see you there!

Before the show day excitement begins, stop by and grab a complimentary breakfast hosted by Shasta County Farm Bureau and Shasta County YF&R.

📅 Thursday, June 18
🥯 Bagels, muffins, fruit, granola bars, trail mix, coffee, juice, and more!
🤝 A great chance to fuel up, visit with fellow exhibitors, and start the day off right.

We appreciate all of the hard work that goes into preparing projects and animals for the fair, and we're excited to help kick off another great year at the Shasta District Fair as they celebrate California 175 years
