The Junction Educational Foundation (JEF) is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to raising funds to improve and enhance the quality of the educational environment for the children at Junction School. The Board of Directors is made up of 9 members and includes representatives from the Palo Cedro community and the Junction School population. Given this cross-section of members, a wide r
ange of interests are represented by the board. JEF is a member of The California Consortium of Educational Foundations; an organization consisting of over 100 educational foundations. Public education is at a crossroads due to increasing academic standards, advances in technology, and changing classroom needs. The JEF has taken on the challenge of filling the gap left by inadequate funding. All fundraising efforts for Junction School District are organized through JEF. In addition, JEF seeks funding from local and national philanthropic organizations. Through our fundraising efforts, JEF offers grant periods for Junction teachers and staff. These grants have been awarded in areas such as music, artistic performance, athletics, scholarships, field trips, technology equipment, software, science, books, and art supplies. Over the years, Junction School District has become a focal point for offering a number of enriching the community and school activities. As the scope and variety of these events have increased, the health and welfare of many have benefited. It is important that we continue adding dimension to our children’s lives.
