We work closely with nonprofits, activists and volunteers all over Ukraine to provide quick response where it is needed most.

Water rescue operations often occur in cold water, with poor visibility, strong currents, and conditions where every second counts.

In May, Nova Ukraine delivered 20 modern wetsuits to first responders as part of our continued support for Ukraine’s State Emergency Service. Deliveries like these help strengthen emergency response capacity at a time when resources are stretched thin. They also support the adoption of higher standards and better equipment for rescue teams working in some of the most challenging conditions.

When rescuers enter the water, they need equipment they can trust. These wetsuits provide critical protection and help emergency teams carry out complex rescue operations.

The largest man-made disaster in Europe since Chernobyl.

On June 6, 2023, Russia blew up the Kakhovka Dam in southern Ukraine.
80+ settlements were flooded.

850,000+ people were left without access to water.

The full consequences are still difficult to assess, as part of the affected territory remains under Russian occupation.

Nova Ukraine has been working on water access projects since the start of the Russia’s full-scale invasion, helping local communities regain access to safe drinking water.

To date, 44+ projects have been completed, including water treatment stations, water towers, and solar-powered systems.

Decentralization may not be a word you hear every day, but it is reshaping how schools operate across Ukraine.

By giving more responsibility to local communities and school leaders, schools can respond more effectively to the needs of their students, teachers, and families.

Since 2025, Nova Ukraine has supported Pro.Svit's “Decentralization in Education: Developing an Educational Ecosystem” program. This initiative gives educators and administrators the tools they need to guide their schools through these changes.

Ukraine marks the Day of Remembrance for Children Killed by Russian Aggression on June 4.

As we remember those who were lost, we also stand with the children who continue to live through this war every day. Studying in shelters, rebuilding their lives after displacement, and carrying burdens no child should ever have to carry.

🕯️ Today, we honor the children whose lives were cut short and stand with Ukraine’s next generation.

Nova Ukraine CEO Ambassador Erin E. McKee arrived in Kyiv just as millions of Ukrainians do: by train. During her visit, she met with the Укрзалізниця - Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways) team, Nova Ukraine’s partner for years.

Take a look at some of the projects we are building together, with the support of The Howard G. Buffett Foundation.
🔷 Iron Youth provides child-friendly railcars and equips new STEM centers with modern technology and furniture, where kids build technical and digital skills and discover what a future career in railways could look like.
🔷 Iron Squad empowers Ukraine’s next generation of changemakers to build leadership and personal development skills.
🔷 Points of Invincibility provide emergency power during blackouts and other disruptions to infrastructure.

We are excited about what comes next and cannot wait to bring more projects to life.

Nova Ukraine applauds today’s procedural vote in Congress to advance the Ukraine Support Act (HR 2913) to the U.S. House of Representatives for a full vote. Nova Ukraine CEO Ambassador Erin E. McKee issued the following statement:

“We are grateful that lawmakers are bringing this important bill to the House floor for a full vote. The Ukraine Support Act hits Russia with sanctions for its illegal war of aggression against Ukraine, provides security assistance to Ukraine, and supports post-war reconstruction.

We know the vast majority of Democrats and Republicans share the American people’s overwhelming bipartisan support for Ukraine, and urge Congress to pass this bill to punish Russia and defend our staunch democratic ally.

As America prepares to celebrate 250 years of independence, our allies in Ukraine are on the front lines of freedom. We share an unbreakable commitment to democracy, human dignity, and peace. Now is the time to act.”

Each day, the Kyiv Regional Blood Service Center works to ensure hospitals have access to the blood and plasma they need for surgeries, emergency care, cancer treatment, and other vital medical services.

To keep the blood supply steady, the center requires equipment that can operate without interruption and transportation that keeps blood and plasma moving where they are needed most.

To help strengthen this work, Nova Ukraine provided the center with a large generator to protect blood supplies and keep equipment running during power outages. We also provided a vehicle to transport blood and plasma to healthcare facilities across the region.

Nova Ukraine in Action: How do you build a portable X-ray machine that works during a war?

On her recent trip to Ukraine, Nova Ukraine CEO Ambassador Erin McKee visited the KVANT X-ray Equipment Plant and met the team behind the technology.

Today, this X-ray equipment is helping healthcare providers across the country deliver critical diagnostic care. Since 2024, Nova Ukraine has delivered 59 Kvant-manufactured X-ray machines nationwide, expanding access to care for thousands of patients.
