A very tidy and organized interior view of the Liddicoat's Market located at 340 University Ave. Interesting use of potted plants as decor. The market opened in 1921 and closed in 1976. Then began the Liddicoat's Food Arcade era that I remember going to in the 80's.

The Sutter Packing Plant in 1940. Originally the second site for Bayside Cannery Company, it was sold to Sutter Packing in 1931, when Thomas Foon Chew passed away. It closed up in 1949. Most people remember this site as Maximart and Fry's Electronics. Today this site has been redeveloped into residential townhomes and R&D office spaces paying homage to the cannery beginnings and even naming the adjacent street, Thomas Foon Chew Avenue.
